The 2022 Asia Cup is just around the corner and the eyes of all the cricketing world is on the tournament. The biggest tournament for the Asian countries and their respective national teams, the Asia Cup is one of the most anticipated cricketing tournaments of the year.
After a long break because of COVID-19, the last Asia Cup was held in 2018 in UAE which was won by India. India will be defending the title for the second time in a row and would be looking to secure the title for 8th time since the tournament was announced back in 1983.

What is the Venue for the 2022 Asia Cup?
Initially, the tournament was supposed to be held in Sri Lanka, however, due to the political and economic conditions in the country and would be shifted to the United Arab Emirates with Sri Lanka acting as the host. Three of the thirteen matches will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium whereas the rest of the ten matches would be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Which Teams Are Playing the Asia Cup This Year?
As the name suggests, Asia Cup is played between Asian countries. A total of five countries are confirmed to play matches and their match schedule has been shared as well, however, one more team will make its way to the roaster. A Qualifier round is being played between Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE, and Kuwait. The winner will join the other teams in Group A.
