Catterpillar phones given the green light to enter Pakistani mobile market, and CAT S60 is coming to Pakistan very soon.
For the past few years, Qmobile and other local brands ruled the Pakistani mobile market with a little competition but it looks like things are going to change very soon. Today Pakistan telecommunication authority (PTA) gave the approval certificate to Catterpillar phone CAT S60 to enter the market.

Catterpiller’s latest phone CAT S60 is the first thermal imaging phone that has been made and that is only the tip of the iceberg. It has plenty of other great features as listed below.
Display And Dimensions
Cat S60 features a 4.7 inches HD (720 x 1280 pixels):~312 ppi pixel density, a-Si AHVA capacitive touchscreen. Furthermore, the screen of the phone is protected with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 protection.
Memory And Processing
Phone comes with an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 and a 3GB RAM provides a smooth performance one could ever hope for.
The latest Catterpillar phone comes with 32 GB internal storage but it can be further extended as the phone supports micro SD card support up to 128 GB.
Platform And Battery
It comes with an android version 6.0 (Marshamallow) and it is not clear whether the phone could be updated to a higher version of Android or not.
Furthermore, the phone features an extended battery of 3800mAh Non-removable Lithium Ion, which supports Quick charge 2.0.
Expected talk of the battery is about 30 hours.
Camera
CAT S60 is the world’s first smartphone featuring a thermal imaging technology. It comes with a 13MP Autofocus + FLIR Thermal Camera, while the secondary camera of the phone is 5MP.

As per reports, CAT S60 will cost around 85,000 rs and it is a little bit pricey. Nontheless the cool features of the phone are worth giving a shot. So far, no release date of the phone has been specified yet so we will have to wait for that.
