As the year 2022 is coming to an end, we are finally getting ICC Cricket Awards 2022. It is that time of the year when the International Cricket Council honors and recognizes the best international cricket players of both genders on their performance of the past 12 months.
The awards have been held since 2004, and the number of awards in each category has changed over the years. However, this year there will be 13 categories across ODI, Test, and T20 formats. Among these awards are the much-coveted Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year and the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year.

Nominations for ICC Cricket Awards 2022 Revealed
ICC has yet to announce the nominations for all of the categories, but they have announced the nominations for all of the categories. Still, they have revealed the nominations for some of them, including the big ones that have the eyes of the world on them.

The remaining categories and their nominations will be revealed in the upcoming days. The nominations for ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year, The Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year, and The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC women’s Cricketer of the Year will be announced on the 30th of December.
Voting System for ICC Cricket Awards 2022
The voting for the ICC Cricket Awards 2022 will begin in January of 2023 during which ICC Voting Academy and global media representatives will submit their votes. Cricket fans from all over the world will also be able to vote for their winner.
The votes of the fans and the official voters will be combined for the 9 categories mentioned. ICC will also award ICC Men’s and Women’s Associate Cricketers of the Year at the ceremony along with the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award as well as the ICC Umpire of the Year Award.
Of course, ICC Teams of the Year will also be announced at the ICC Cricket Awards 2022 in which ICC will announce and identify the standout players and add them to the top 11 players of the ICC team.
