The base model of the EV9 comes with a 76.1-kWh battery and a 160-kW (215-hp) motor powering the rear wheels. However, an optional 99.8-kWh battery is also available. This option is offered in a single-motor configuration that can travel up to 300 miles on all-electric power, or a dual-motor configuration with 379 horse power, all-wheel-drive and 516 lb.-ft. of torque.
All trims of the 2024 Kia EV9 will have four drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and My Mode. The maximum DC charging speed of the EV9 is up to 230kW, which allows for quick charging with compatible DC chargers. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with an 11kW onboard charger that enables efficient Level 2 charging.
