The good news is that Kia Lucky Motors Pakistan announced that it would start the commercial production of vehicles in this year from September 2019. A complete notification was sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) related to this production. Company hit to start this production in the first quarter of financial year 2019 to 2020. Kia Lucky Motors Pakistan a joint venture between Lucky group and South Korea’s Kia Motors, is an enterprise worth Rs.20 billion including Rs.14 billion in investment from the Yunus Brothers Group (YBG). The joint venture allows to manufacture, assemble, market and distribute all kinds of Kia vehicles, parts and accessories under license from Kia Motors Corporation. The leveling work of the project site is started in January 2019 and civil work is expected to begin in March 2019.

Other automobile companies are increasing the prices of their vehicles as United Bravo also increased the price of Rs.45000/-.
Kia started the sale of imported completely built units (CBU) on June 1, 2018. It also established the company-owned and third-party operated dealerships in some selected metropolitan cities in Pakistan.
The full setup is being built at Bin Qasim Industrial Park (BQIP) and waiting for electricity, gas and other utilities. The leveling work of the project site is started in January 2019 and civil work is expected to begin in March 2019. YBG is also investing for power sector by setting up a 660-megawatt plant which targets to commence commercial operation on March 1, 2021.
