Lanka Premier League to feature 24 Pakistani players in its rooster. Our Pakistani cricket superstars are a constant source of pride for Pakistanis. From appearing in the top 10 batsmen or bowlers in the ICC Men’s ranking to performing their absolute best in international matches, they make sure their fans have something to cheer about at all times.
Now that the world has a little control over COVID-19, the world is slowly opening and major sporting events are finally being available to fans. Among many other premier leagues, the Lanka Premier League is also returning for the fans and this time, there is a list of many Pakistani cricketers who are up for grabs for the local teams.
Lanka Premier League is already going to include Galle Gladiators in its list of active teams this season. Galle Gladiators is the sister franchise of the Pakistan Super League winning Quetta Gladiators and one of the biggest Pakistani players of all time is set to be the star player for the team.

Pakistanis are looking forward to the Lanka Premier League and it ready to begin in November. While the LPL was due to begin in August, the tournament was pushed back to November because of coronavirus. However, now it is conformed that the tournament will begin on 14th November and will end on 16th December. The league matches will be played in Kandy, Dambulla and Hambantota.
Many of the foreign players are going to cross the seas and skies to become a part of the league. During the auction, each franchise can buy a maximum of 6 international players out of the 30 international players up for grabs.
Pakistani Players Up for Grabs
Sri Lanka Cricket has shortlisted 150 players from different international teams. However, 24 of those players are chosen right from our cricket team. Some of the most prominent international players include Pakistan’s favorite Darren Sammy, Chris Gayle, Darren “DJ” Bravo, Ravi Bopara, Shakib Al Hassan, Colin Munro, Vernon Philander Faf du Plessis and Munaf Patel.
However, the stars of the show are Pakistani players and one of them is the most expensive international player for the league.
Pakistan’s former captain, all-rounder, hit-maker and star player Shahid “Boom Boom” Afridi is the most expensive player on the rooster with a base price of $60,000. Up next is all-rounders Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez with a base price of $50,000, whereas star ballers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir each carry a base price of $40,000.
