Motorola is All Set To Launch New Powerful Smartphone–Moto X4

Motorola today revealed that it will launch a new product on December 15; the teaser image it posted on Weibo shows two smartphones. One of which has a centered punch hole in the display and the other does not. The latter likely be a model with an in-display camera. Motorola didn’t directly divulge the product’s name, but considering the Edge, X30 was revealed around the same time last year, the Lenovo-owned business could unveil the Moto X40 next Wednesday.

Since the Lenovo-owned firm no longer uses the “Edge” trademark in China, the name of the smartphone, which is the Moto Edge X30’s successor, has been changed. It is yet unclear whether Motorola will keep the Edge branding there or change it to match the lineup’s moniker in China.

The tech gaint posted a few Moto X40 teasers on Weibo, but the device’s specifications weren’t made explicit. What was disclosed, though, were hints at the smartphone’s front and back designs, which appear to be very comparable with reported leaked renders.

It is also advertised as having a 60MP front-facing camera and a 50MP rear-facing camera, along with up to 18GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Of course, keep in mind that nothing has been verified as of yet, so take this information with a grain of salt.

The Moto X40 Pro has also come to our attention; last week, leaked renders showed it. On December 15, it’s not yet known if it will be made available together with the vanilla model.

Before the event on December 15, Motorola is likely to make some announcements regarding its upcoming product.
