HEC Online Degree Attestation to be Launched

HEC is a very well-known institution which is performing its services since 1974. HEC has always worked hard for the development of the nation in the education sector. Moreover, it has also brought Pakistan’s education system to a whole new level. The level which can compete at the international level of education.

Anyhow, currently we are going to talk about the step taken by HEC which is really satisfactory and quite helpful to the students and the institutions. HEC has launched Online Degree Attestation Service. The main purpose of this service is to avoid the fake degree attesting institutions as well as con artists who have mastered the art of making fake degrees.

This new Online Degree Attesting service will not online attest the degrees but it will also verify if the degree is valid or not. The official statement reads:

“…to determine the equivalence and recognition of degrees, diplomas, and certificates awarded by Institutions within the country and abroad.”

Nadra

For this purpose, HEC has finalized a software in association with NADRA. Nadra will provide the required information of the applicant to the system.

PQR (Pakistan Qualification Register)

Along with being linked to the Nadra, the system will also be connected to PQR database. This will help the system to verify if the applicant’s degree program is in the PQR database. If the academic credentials are present in the PQR database, then the system will give the positive response to a candidate. Otherwise, the candidate will not be able to get his/her degree(s) verified.

Expected Process to Work for Applicants

  • First of all the applicant has to upload relevant documents including Academic Credentials and Identity Documents.
  • The system will check the applicant’s information by contacting NADRA & PQR Database.
  • The controller of Examinations will have access to view the documents to assess their legitimacy.
  • The system will attest the documents and contact the applicant if the documents are authentic.

Rescue 1122 Launches Bike Service For Emergencies in Punjab

In order to serve the people of Punjab, now Rescue 1122 is introducing Motorbike service. Motorbike service will join their fleet of mobile emergency units soon. This motorbike service is initially introduced in Lahore. Later on, it will be expanded to other cities of the province.

The main purpose of the motorbike service is to provide the services in those areas which are inaccessible via rescue vans & other rescue sources. Moreover, on the other hand, the motorbike service will also allow the rescue worker to save on the resources through bikes. Furthermore, the motorbikes will consume less fuel while getting to the affected area.

In other words, to send a rescue worker to the affected area via motorbike is more preferable. He would overview the situation by judging the priority levels and emergency cases. The motive of the program is to raise a special unit. That unit will respond to the emergencies faster, by taking care of the safety of the community.

Rescue Muhafiz Program is open for everyone. Any ordinary individual can join this program by simply registering himself/herself using Rescue Muhafiz Mobile Application.

e-Stamp Papers Launched by the Punjab Government

Under the act of 1899 judicial and non-judicial stamp duty has been collected all over Pakistan. Judicial stamp papers refer to the paperwork of the judiciary in courts whereas non judicial stamps are used in property papers commercial agreements, during buying and selling of licensed items. Non-judicial stamp papers which cost rupees 1000 plus are considered as high-value stamp papers and issued by district offices of treasury. 95.98% of the revenue of stamp duty is collected by these expensive stamps.

Furthermore, these stamp papers including judicial or non-judicial are mostly issued by a national bank and state bank. The district treasury office can receive them within 24 hours. Thus, after the payment is done from where the buyer receives the stamp paper during 2 to 3 days, time period.

e-Stamping

Stamp papersNow a day as online banking is prevalent among the educated people. Therefore, the trend of online stamping known as e-stamping is becoming common. Any person desirous of buying a stamp paper judicial or non-judicial can purchase them by just having internet connection. The procedure is very simple as well as easy.

Furthermore, the value of the stamp duty is calculated by the instruction given by the buyer. These instructions are about the property such as a location of the property, area of the property etc. Also, the price is verified by whether the area of the property is residential or its commercial area. Some of the other details related to stamp paper are also entered while purchasing the stamp paper. These details include the name of the buyer and the name of the seller with their CNIC numbers.
