Chief Selector Inzaman-ul-Haw has announced the Pakistan World Cup Squad 2023. After a delay of two days, the squad was announced after a lot of deliberation and consideration, the squad for the World Cup was announced this morning.
Inzaman-ul-Haq announced the 15 member squad for the ICC World Cup 2023 that will be held in India. Apart from one big change, the team has remained pretty much the same. The team was expected to have some big changes after the session of injuries that have plagued the team in the past few months.

As anticipated, Hasan Ali has taken the spot of Naseem Shah in the 15-member World Cup squad. Naseem sustained a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup 2023 and is projected to remain sidelined for an extended duration. Ali’s most recent ODI appearance for Pakistan was in Multan in 2022, where he played against West Indies.
Pakistan World Cup Squad 2023 Changes Possibility
Pakistan made two alterations to the squad that participated in the Asia Cup 2023, omitting all-rounder Faheem Ashraf and moving wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris to the reserve list.
The ICC World Cup 2023 will take place in India, with 10 teams competing for the coveted title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19. The tournament will kick off and conclude at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The Cricket World Cup will follow a round-robin format, where every team will face each other, totaling 45 league matches. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for November 15 in Mumbai and November 16 in Kolkata. These semifinals, as well as the final, will have designated reserve days.
ICC regulations require teams to unveil preliminary squads by September 5, a month ahead of the event. Teams can make adjustments until September 28. Beyond this date, any modifications will necessitate approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC).

- October 27: Pakistan vs. South Africa in Chennai

Day matches will commence at 10:00 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST), while all other matches will be day-night contests starting at 01:30 p.m. PST. If Pakistan secures a spot in the semi-finals, they will compete in Kolkata. In the event that India advances to the semi-finals, they will play in Mumbai unless facing Pakistan, in which case the match will take place in Kolkata.
