QS World ranking – 10 Pakistani Universities are ranked worldwide:
10 Pakistani universities, including public and private sectors, are selected for the QS World University Ranking of 2022. However, other universities are also working hard to improve their position respectively.
The British Company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the new edition in which they enlisted about 1,673 universities across the world. Out of 1,673 universities, QS ranked 1,300 universities. Luckily, 10 Pakistani universities feature in the QS world ranking, respectively.
Moreover, the QS World ranked the universities in the 355-500 rank band. In this regard, one in 651-700, three in 801-1000, and the remaining three in 1001+ rank bands, respectively.
NUST university achieves its position at 355th rank Band:
However, the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) secured its position at the 355th rank band. Moreover, the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and applied sciences (PIEAS) achieved its 373rd rank in the QS World Ranking 2022.
These 10 Pakistani Universities also include Lahore University of Management Sciences. QS World ranked this institute between the rank band of 651-700. While the COMSATS University of Islamabad, UET (University of engineering and technology), as well PU (University of Punjab) also ranked in the rank band of 810-1000, respectively.
Moreover, the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, University of Karachi, and UOL (university of Lahore) also enlisted in the 10 Pakistani Universities. However, these institutes achieve their ranking at 1000+ rank bands.
Ranking Indicators:
The QS University demonstrates a ranking of these universities through six indicators:
- Academic Reputation (40%)
- Employer Reputation (10%)
- Student and Faculty ratio (20%)
- Citations per faculty member (20%)
- The percentage of overseas students (5%)
- The rate of International Faculty (5%)
Conclusion:
The Higher Education Commission of Punjab only considers the ranking of this British Institute (QS World University). This is the worldwide ranking, and all the universities come under the umbrella of their ranking bands. However, the QS World ranks the most valuable and authentic universities worldwide.
