PEMRA Warned Cable Operator’s and Public to Stop Using Indian DTH

Today, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) warn all cable operators and general public to stop using Indian DTH services. According to PEMRA the Indian DTH i.e Dish TV, Tata sky, video-con, reliance and sun big are illegal and banned in Pakistan.

PEMRA warned all cable operators to stop on airing Indian TV channels from these DTH satellite receivers. And all general public also stop using these satellite receivers in their home.

PEMRA request to public to launch complaint against these cable operators on their toll free number ( 0800-73672) if any one using Indian DTH receiver. On the other side PEMRA invites application for DTH service in Pakistan.

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) invites applications under Section 19 of the PEMRA Ordinance 2002 (as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) Act 2007) from the companies (registered under Companies Ordinance 1984) interested in establishing & operating a Direct-To-Home Distribution Service in Pakistan.

And today Tentative Schedule of Pre-bid Conference in Connection with DTH Licensing are held on PEMRA Headquarters Mauve Area Sector G-8/1, Islamabad.
