PSL 8 Final: Lahore Qalandars Snatches Second Title

Lahore Qalandars have won the PSL 8 Final, and they are now the only second team to win two titles. They won the title against Multan Sultans, who have been their biggest nemeses for the last two seasons. It was the final of the finals with competitiveness and a well-matched game.

Lahore Qalandars is, in fact, the only team to win the title back-to-back and is the first in history to do so. They are often the team who sat at the bottom of the table and have turned it around under Shaheen Shah Afridi’s incredible captaincy.

The match between Shaheed Shah Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars and Muhammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans was already expected to be a nailbiter, but the fans got a lot more than that. The Qaddafi Stadium was packed full with a full house for the final, and the crowd loved every moment of the match.

The match began with Lahore Qalandars winning the toss and choosing to bat first. The team lost a total of 6 wickets and posted a massive total of 200 runs. Abdullah Shafique scored 65 runs, Shaheen Afridi scored 44 runs, and Fakhar scored 39 runs. In retaliation, Usama Mir took 3 wickets for 24 runs, Khushdil took 1 wicket for 11 runs, and Ihsanullah took 1 wicket for 37 runs.

The second innings of the PSL 8 Final began with Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan putting up a fight. When Usman Khan’s wicket fell, Rilee Rossouw gave them a great chance to his team. Multan lost the final by just 1 run, and the team put up a great fight by posting 199 runs and losing 8 wickets.

From Multan Sultans, Rilee Rossouw scored 52 runs, Mohammad Rizwan scored 34 runs, and Khushdil Shah scored 25 runs. In retaliation, Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets for 51 runs, Rashid Khan took 2 wickets for 26 runs, and David Wiese took 1 wicket for 31 runs.
