We have told you about the new bill charges by PTCL which were imposed on landline users. The new Rs.50 paper bill charges were imposed to encourage customers to save forest and stop receiving paper bill. And use e-bill service to save the planet from environmental hazards.
Now PTCL announced that they will not charge any amount for paper bill. These charges were drawn back in few days after the social media campaign. In press release by PTCL it is clearly mentioned that there will be no bill charges for current bill and also on future bills.
Below is the official statement from PTCL,
Dear PTCL Customers, We would like to clarify that Rs. 50 have NOT been charged as Bill Printing Charges this month. As per your feedback, we will NOT be charging Rs. 50 for Bill printing in future as well. You can confirm this by checking your current and next month bill or calling our helpline 1236. Enjoy our new easy to understand and simple new bill format. We do encourage you to sign-up for E-Billing and help us save paper, trees and environment.
