Conference on ‘Space, Science and Technology’ organised by ISPA

Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics: ISPA in The Karachi University will organise 5th national conference on ‘Space, Science and Technology’ in collaboration with Higher Education Commission and SUPARCO. Conference will take place for the celebration of World Space Week. Conference will start on 9th October and end on 10th October.

According to the source, theme of the 5th conference 2017 will be ‘Exploring New Worlds in Space’. However, wide range of topics of space, science and technology will be covered in the following conference. Including:

  • Astrophysics
  • Cosmology
  • Space Antennas
  • Radio Astronomy

The opening of the conference will take place in the Art Auditorium of The Karachi University on 9th October. The opening ceremony will take place under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan. He is Vice Chancellor at The Karachi University. However, the Chief Guest of the upcoming ceremony will be Dr Hafeez Hoorani, who is Director General at the National Center for Physics.

Main purpose of the conference is to bring together investors, entrepreneurs and academics in order to identify opportunities for foreign investment and international collaboration in the field of space technology. Seminars are also arranged for the second day of the conference.

This conference also aims to bridge the gap between senior and young space scientist. It aims to provide a platform for them so that they communicate and present their work related to the field of Space Science and Technology.

End of the conference will take place on 10th October at the same venue. Closing ceremony will take place under the supervision of Professor Dr Tasneem Adam Ali, Dean of Faculty of Science at The Karachi University.
