Google is gearing up to make Google Bard AI available to all Android smartphones, but first, it will be added to their Pixel phones. At first, Bard was introduced as a public waitlist preview, and its usage was restricted to the dedicated website.
Nonetheless, Google has recently been actively incorporating Bard and other LaMDA-based technologies into its prominent services. This includes automated draft generation in Gmail, advanced text generation abilities in Google Docs, and AI-generated automated replies in Google Messages.
These integrations have significantly enhanced user productivity. Although Google Bard AI can be accessed on Android devices via a web browser, its integration is not as seamless as GPT-4 in Microsoft Edge with Bing. As a result, Google has taken note of this and intends to incorporate a home screen widget for Bard.
This enhancement will simplify access to Bard for Android users. Reports suggest that a dedicated home screen widget for Google Bard AI will soon be introduced on Android, making the AI even more user-friendly for Android users. It is uncertain whether the Made by Google AI will be integrated into the Google Search app or be launched as a standalone app.
Nevertheless, this development marks a significant improvement compared to the currently limited accessibility via the web platform. Although the precise features of the Bard home screen widget are not yet known, it is anticipated that it will provide more than just a quick launch option for starting a new conversation with Google Bard AI.
In fact, some experts speculate that the widget may offer conversation topic suggestions and enable direct access to the relevant app. Initially, the Google Bard AI widget will be exclusive to Pixel devices, although there are rumors that Pixel device owners may have the ability to bypass the waitlist.

It is also possible that the waitlist may be eliminated altogether. While the widget will only be available to Pixel users at first, there is speculation that it may eventually be made available to all Android users. Google is expected to make multiple artificial intelligence-related announcements during the upcoming Google I/O 2023 conference on May 10th.
The event will also mark the launch of the Pixel 7a and the new Pixel Tablet, making Bard a potentially significant feature for Pixel devices in the near future.
