Use Mobile SMS Service & Get New Currency Notes from May 20 to May 30, 2019!!!

The month of Ramzan has been started and the preparation for Eid-ul-Fitr are also have been started. It is the wish to every child that he/she get the new currency notes as Eidi from its family members and relatives. In order to get the New Currency Notes the State Bank of Pakistan has started the SMS Service on the event of Eid-ul-Fitr. The Pakistani citizens can get New Currency Notes from 20 May to 31 May 2019.

The New Currency Notes would be available in 142 cities and 1700 commercial bank branches as well as via Online Banking also. The limited amount of New Currency Notes would be given to an individual.

Process of SMS Service

If you want to get the New Currency Notes on Eid-ul-Fitr then you need to follow the below listed points:

  • The user should need to send his/her CNIC number along with bank branch ID number on 8877.
  • This message can be sent from May 20 to May 31, 2019.
  • After this bank will send a Transaction Number via SMS Service along with the bank branch address and date, so that on the exact date the New Currency Notes would be available.
  • The user also need to bring his/her Original CNIC Card, or Smart Card and the Code that was sent by 8877.
  • One CNIC Card and Phone Number would be used only once, if you use the ID card number on more than one transaction then your transaction would not be processed and transaction code will not be issued.
  • All the bank branches and code details would be issued soon in coming days.

Availability of New Currency Notes to 1 Person:

  • Every person would be given the limited New Currency Notes Copies.
  • The New Currency Notes Copy of Rs.10/- will be available 3 and New Currency Notes Copy of Rs.50/- and Rs.100/- will be available only one.
  • By using the SMS Service the Rs.2 + Tax would be applied on one message.
  • So, only one ID Card Number and Phone Number would be used by one person.
  • If a person sent the message twice from same Id-Card or Phone Number then the transaction will not be processed but the Service Charges would be cut from his balance.
