Oppo F5 Launched with 20 MP Selfie Camera and AI

The highly anticipated Oppo F5 is finally official after months of rumors and leaks surrounding the release of the smartphone. Notably, while AI intelligence is the new rage these days, Oppo has also taken a shot at the Artificial Intelligence Technology, with their latest flagship smartphone.

Display, Software, Processor and Storage

The Oppo F5 comes with a FHD 6.0” IPS LCD display, with a pixel density of 402 ppi. The device is powered by the Mediatek Helio P23 Octa-Core processor, coupled with a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.
As far as the RAM and Internal Storage are concerned, the F5 sports 4/6 Gigs of RAM, coupled with 32/64 GB Internal storage.

This smartphone comes with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and is expected to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Battery and Features

Battery isn’t the best thing about the Oppo F5 as it comes with a 3200 mAh battery however; it should have enough juice to last you through the day without any recharge.
While the Oppo F5 offers a lot of features, a few of them are missing as well. It comes with a rear-mounted finger-print sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass however, fast charge, water-proofing and USB Type-C are the features that would’ve made this device a better alternative.

Camera

Camera is perhaps the unique selling point of this device. The primary camera is a 16 MP sensor with aperture f/1.8, phase detection, touch-focus and LED Flash.

The front selfie camera is an impressive 20 MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and here’s where Oppo’s AI technology has debuted. Oppo has integrated an AI-enabled beauty technology into the front camera, aimed at enhancing your selfies.
Oppo claims that by incorporating over 200 positioning spots and considering facial landmarks, their AI enabled smartphone camera improves the symmetry of selfie shots.
The 20 MP sensor at the front is also capable of identifying any sort of background light to add luminance to selfies.
