Samsung unveiled New Galaxy J5 Pro : Upgraded Model of J5

Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy J5 pro which is upgraded model of earlier launched Galaxy J5, in 2017. This handset is launched in Thailand. Well, it costs THB 9,990 roughly.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro basic features include upgraded RAM and storage as compared to the other version of Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) .

However other specifications of this new handset Galaxy J5 Pro are quite similar to the Galaxy J5. In comparison with the Galaxy J5 (2017) was launched earlier which had 2GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 16GB. On the other hand the Galaxy J5 Pro is having 3GB of RAM and packs 32GB of storage.

New GalaxyJ5 pro has metal design, fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support, and the fact that it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Is Back. So, What’s The Deal?

Samsung’s most controversial phone ever, hands down, is back once again. For the third time in this phone’s rather unfortunate life, it is ready to hit the shelves.

For those who’re unaware of the whole series of mishaps, a small percentage of the much hyped and highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 started exploding after its launch. This issue gained popularity as the victims took it to social media. While the social media used this opportunity to troll the Korean smartphone giant, Samsung was genuinely concerned. Ultimately, Samsung ended up recalling the devices and offered a replacement however, much to their dismay, the replaced devices didn’t fare quite well either.
Now, for the third time, Samsung is gearing up to launch the 7th iteration of the Note series. Samsung has labeled these refurbished devices as Galaxy Note Fan edition.
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition offers impressive specs. It retains the 5.7 inch display and the resolution however, it comes with a smaller 3200 mAh battery. The design is also pretty much the same except for the Galaxy Note Fan Edition branding on the back.

 

Just like the previous Note 7, the phone is IP68 certified, making it water and dust resistant. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition also retains Bixby AI and a lot of other features from the original Note 7. It is likely to be available in four colours including Blue Coral, Black Oynx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.

According to various sources, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition will cost around $611, which is considerably lower than the introductory price of the Galaxy Note 7. Initially, it would only be available in South Korea however, it is expected to hit other major markets later this year.

Another thing worth mentioning here is that Samsung has confirmed that they tested the battery through its improved 8-point battery safety check, so we’re assuming and hoping that this one won’t explode.

OnePlus has finally put rumors and speculations to rest as they announced their latest device, the OnePlus 5 earlier this month.
So what’s all the hype about? Hailed as flagship killers, OnePlus devices have always provided something to the consumers to cheer about.  The company has maintained their tradition as they introduced their latest flagship device. The OnePlus 5 offers extra-ordinary features and a great value for money.

Features

The OnePlus 5 is a fairly good looking device with the design insanely similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus. The device offers a metallic body all around with smooth matte finish.
The display is a 5.5’ 1080p FHD panel with a pixel density of 401ppi, which is kind of disappointing considering the current standards for a flagship display are over QHD.
Even though the display is weak on paper, it actually manages to outperform any FHD panel out there.

The OnePlus 5 includes an extremely impressive set of cameras. On the back we have a dual-camera setup with one being 16 MP and the other one being 20 MP. The rear dual-cameras offer larger aperture and fast autofocus. The secondary camera is a 16 MP shooter.

The internals of this device are pretty impressive too. It comes with 6/8 GB of Ram which is more than enough for heavy usage and multitasking. The storage options include 64 and 128 GB which again, are sufficient for an average user.

This devices runs on the latest Android version (7.1.1) with OnePlus’s own Oxygen OS over it. The chipset used inside is a Snapdragon 835 and GPU Andreo 540. The phone sports an octa-core processor, which combined with the chipset and the CPU, is likely to ensure flawless and snappy performance.

The OnePlus 5 includes a 3300 mAh non-removable battery, which should have enough juice to keep up for an entire day. Apart from that, the OnePlus 5 offers fast-charging, Wi-Fi direct, dash charge and a fingerprint sensor of course.

 

Pricing and Availability

Pricing is perhaps what makes OnePlus devices standout amongst the rest. The 5th and the latest iteration of the series cost $479 for the 6 GB Ram and 64 GB Rom version while the one with 8 GB of Ram and 128 GB Rom costs $540.
Even though the prices are slightly higher compared to previous years, the prices seem justified considering the standout specs and features offered in this device.

As you may or may not know, the OnePlus devices aren’t officially available in Pakistan however, you can purchase the OnePlus 5 from various local or online stores with ishopping, Homeshopping and Shophive being the most notable out of them.
