Apple iPhone 15 Pro Rumors | Memory, Design Changes & More

Apple iPhone 15 Pro will be released in the second half of 2023 and it looks like the rumor mill is already working hard. There have been plenty of renders and leaks available online to make you pause and consider them at least once.

However, the latest rumors have made sure to capture the attention of the iPhone fans all over the world, because these are some things they have been asking the company to add for years now. The rumors started right from their Taiwanese supply chain firm so it is possible that these rumors may be true.

Here is what you need to know about the latest rumors about Apple iPhone 15 Pro.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Rumors

Apple will be bumping up the memory of the device, especially the Pro models. It will finally match Samsung in that capacity. It is reported that the 15 Pro will come with memory improvements that will directly implement speed and the RAM amounts available to the users.

While this will apply to all iPhone 15 models, it will most definitely apply to the Pro model. However, as expected, we don’t have much information from Apple as of yet. According to the previous rumors about the Apple iPhone 15 Pro, we are more likely to have:

  • 8GB RAM for Pro Model
  • 6GB RAM for Base Models
  • Faster LPDDR5 RAM
  • A17 Bionic Chip
  • Boosted Overall Performance

Design Changes to iPhone 15

The design of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro is expected to be altered significantly, which is not the norm with Apple. Apple is notorious for updating the design of their devices every three years or so, which means this is the right time for them to change it up.

It is suggested that the appearance of Apple’s products in 2023 may undergo some changes. One potential change is the possibility of the iPhone 15 Pro featuring rounded edges, which could improve its ergonomic design in light of the heavier weight of recent iPhones.

Furthermore, the adoption of rounded edges may contribute to a more compact appearance for the iPhone 15 Pro. Additionally, there have been rumors circulating for some time about the possibility of the iPhone 15 Pro’s chassis being made of titanium.

Size Changes

Apple is not showing any signs of changing the screen size for the iPhone 15 Pro, as the 6.1-inch form factor has proven to be popular and enduring over time, including among several employees at Tom’s Guide.

Although it’s possible that the base iPhone 15 models won’t receive a 120Hz refresh rate or an Always-On Display, those features will likely be available on the iPhone 15 Pro. If Apple follows its previous pattern with the iPhone 14 lineup, we can anticipate the release of a 6.1-inch iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, as well as a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Other Changes

Another design rumor suggests that the camera bump on the back of the iPhone 15 Pro will have a different look. While details are scarce, recent images suggest that the bump will be thicker and larger than in previous models. It’s possible that this new design may require a slight tilt in the display, which could make it challenging to use aftermarket screen covers.

The Dynamic Island is here to stay and even the most rigid rumors believe it. The screen size will stay the same and so does always-on display. According to rumors, Apple may use Sony’s latest “state-of-the-art” sensor for the iPhone 15.

This new sensor could potentially enhance the iPhone 15 Pro’s ability to correct for over- and under-exposure by increasing the pixel saturation levels twofold. This could be a significant improvement, especially considering that the iPhone 14 Pro has had some exposure management issues when it comes to challenging lighting conditions.

Only time will tell which of these rumors is true. It is expected that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro will cost close to or over $1000.
