You can now play Android Games on your PC with Google Play Games for PC. Google has launched the open beta of Google Play Games for PC desktop application for Windows 10 and Windows 11, after previously announcing its closed beta in 2022.

The application offers enhanced mobile gaming experiences on Google’s gaming platform for PC, as per the promise made by Google. The official webpage of the service states that “Google Play Games” is a desktop application for Windows that allows users to browse, download, and play popular mobile games.

With this application, users can enjoy their preferred Android games on a desktop or laptop, and also gain access to features such as keyboard and mouse input, seamless synchronization across devices, and integration with Google Play Points.

Where is the Beta Version of the Google Play Games for PC Available?

Originally, the beta version was only available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea. However, they have now opened the beta to 10 more countries. These are:

  • Thailand

PC Requirements for Google Play Games for PC

Google has listed a number of requirements for the PC host before the Beta software can be downloaded and used. These are:

  • OS: Windows 10 (v2004)
  • Storage: Solid state drive (SSD) with 10 GB of available storage space
  • Graphics: IntelⓇ UHD Graphics 630 GPU or comparable
  • Processor: 4 CPU physical cores
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Windows admin account
  • Hardware virtualization must be turned on

As per Google’s clarification, the beta regions currently have access to more than 100 games. The company is continuously adding games to the service and encourages users to check frequently for updates on new releases. Google Play Games provides users with the ability to earn rewards while playing games, in addition to the gaming hub service.

Through Google Play Points, users earn points on all purchases made within Google Play Games, including subscriptions and in-app items. These points can be accumulated and redeemed on both mobile devices and PCs.

Google has mentioned that the official release of the service will depend on the region and that the company plans to expand the service to additional regions later this year. Google Play Games is currently unavailable for macOS, according to a statement by Google.
