Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Chinese government-owned company, China Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC) have signed an agreement to provide an opportunity to the students of Pakistan to study in China. In agreement, our fellow country agreed to offer scholarship to almost 30 students of Pakistan. The scholarship is being offered to the students at postgraduate level for the degrees of engineering.
The scholarship is being offered under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) program. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the joint venture of China & Pakistan and is beneficial not only for both the countries but also for the fellow countries like Iran, Afghanistan, and India. CPEC aims to enhance the geographical linkages like improved roads, rail & air transportation system along with the free exchange of knowledge and culture, trade and business among the people. The program is heading Pakistan towards its improved economic development.
Details of the scholarship:
Under the scholarship, almost 30 Pakistani students will be sent to the neighbor country to complete their master’s degree in transportation engineering. The eligible students will study at South East University of China for almost two years.

Incentives scholarship offers:
Following are the inducements that scholarship offers:
- Eligible candidates will be provided with the full tuition fees.
- Accommodation costs of the students will also be provided under the scholarship.
- Transportation charges are also included in the scholarship.
- Eligible candidates will also get stipend.
The first batch comprised of 14 students will leave for their educational career in October 2017. The students are selected after competitive selection process by HEC, CRBC & South East University China. However the information about the second batch is not yet been revealed. The programme will provide students with an opportunity to gain the state-of-the-art knowledge from the well established Chinese institution.
