Kia Motors Pakistan has been teasing two new vehicles on its Instagram and other social media channel. The eagle-eyed car enthusiasts have recognized the two vehicles as the much-awaited Kia Stinger and Niro EV, two vehicles that have been on the radar of Pakistan car enthusiasts for years now.
The first mention of the vehicles was made back in 2020 when the brand announced the name of these vehicles as well as Kia Sorento during a marketing campaign. Now, after almost 3 years, the other two vehicles will be making their way to the Pakistani market with an “exclusive premiere.”
Here is what you need to know about both vehicles.
Kia Niro EV
As the name suggests, the Niro EV will be one of the very few electric vehicles in Pakistan. Directly competing with Honda HR-V and more, the all-electric vehicle is a powerhouse that can deliver smooth drive with a fraction to no emissions.
It is expected that the Niro EV will come with two powertrain options. These are:
- A single electric motor powertrain that delivers 130 Horsepower and 394 Nm of torque with front wheel drive.
- A single electric motor powertrain that delivers 201 horsepower with 394 Nm of torque with front wheel drive.
The magic lies in the battery pack added to both powertrains. The 130 Horsepower powertrain will have a 39.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack whereas the other powertrain will have a massive 64 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Each option will offer 288 kilometers of drive range and 385 kilometers of drive range on a full charge, respectively.
Kia Stinger
One of the best from the brand, Kian Stinger has always been among the best seller of Kia all over the world. Kia Motors Pakistan has been teasing this luxury sedan for a long time and it looks like it will be on display along with Niro EV. With its main competition being the Mercedes AMG C Class, BMW 3 Series, and more, this powerhouse would be a great addition to the Pakistani market.
According to the rumors, the new Stinger will come with two powertrains. These are:
- A 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged engine that will generate 251 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque.
- A 3.3 liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine that will generate 368 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque.
Both powertrains will come with a four-wheel drive option or rear-wheel drive. It will have an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Will Kia Stinger and Niro EV come to Pakistan?
As of yet, Kia Motors Pakistan has not announced if both of these vehicles will come to Pakistan or not. Right now, it appears to be that these vehicles be on display around Pakistan. The first stop is Karachi where it will be on display first, starting from 5th January. Will these vehicles become a part of the Pakistani market? Only time will tell.
