PTCL And Ufone Services Down Due to Technical Faults

Pakistan’s leading telecommunication company, PTCL and one of the largest cellular network Ufone is suffering from a major drawback. Due to an undersea cable damage near the Arabian sea, PTCL and Ufone services are down for the past 5 hours or so. Internet connections, as well as Landlines, are affected by this technical fault.

According to the news, people from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and some other major cities are affected by this technical difficulty.

PTCL has always been in the firing line of several people. From reduced internet speeds to frequent disconnections, PTCL internet services have been a cause for a headache from a long time. And this incident will not help their cause either. People all across the country are furious about this matter. Here is what they had to say,

VimpelCom and Dhabi Group completion of Mobilink and Warid Deal

As we know the parent company to Mobilink is VimpelCom, Global Telecom Holding (GTH). Furthermore, the parent company to Warid is Dhabi Group. Both have unanimously announced completion of Mobilink and Warid deal. After receiving approvals from Islamabad High Court to merge Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (Mobilink) and Warid Telecom (Warid). Furthermore, earlier this year Mobilink and Warid had received approvals from Pakistan Telecom Authority, Competition Commission of Pakistan. Securities and Exchange Commission Pakistan, local and international creditors and State Bank of Pakistan also gave their approvals previously.
