Saraab is a 2020 drama on the Hum TV channel that has been teased for quite some time now. Coming from the makers of Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb and Pyar Ke Sadqay, Saraab drama series is another intense story. The story of the drama focuses on mental illness, something that is seldom talked about in the Pakistani industry.

The Story

The story follows a girl portrayed by Sonya Hussain. Sonya’s character is suffering from schizophrenia. She falls in love with the male lead portrayed by Sami Khan. Even though the two get married, their relationship is strained and affected by her mental illness.

At the core, this is a romantic drama but it is addresses mental illness unlike any other drama ever did. Usually, mental illness is a side plot in Pakistani dramas, however, this time, it is highlighted unlike any other.

Sonya Hussain and Sami Khan are a favorite on-screen couple. The duo has worked together in Aisi Ha Tanhai and Ishq Zahe Naseeb and were much loved by the general audience. Their on screen chemistry is incredible and people are expecting them to work their magic with Saraab drama serial as well.
