Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the squad for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka test series that is about to commence right after the World Cup 2023 qualifiers. While it is still not confirmed where the matches will be played in Sri Lanka, it looks like the teams are ready to face each other.
The series is part of the 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship and is scheduled to take place in Colombo and Galle. However, Pakistan Cricket Board is still looking for a confirmation from the Sri Lankan Board, and it looks like the confirmation will come soon.
There are rumors that the Test series might be converted to an ODI series in Sri Lanka qualifies for World Cup 2023, and the proposed test matches will be played on a later date in the year. Only time will tell since the qualifiers are almost underway.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Proposed Schedule
Here is the proposed schedule for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka test series.
The proposed schedule is as follows:
- First Test:Â July 16-20, 2023, at the Galle International Stadium
- Second Test:Â July 24-28, 2023, at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo
The series is likely to start on Sunday, July 16th, and will be completed before the start of the Lanka Premier League, which is scheduled from July 30 to August 22, 2023. It is important to note that this is just a proposed schedule, and the final schedule may be different. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will announce the final schedule of the series officially in the next few days.

Pakistan Squad for The Test Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the 16 men’s squad for the series. Shaheen Afridi is making a comeback for the team, and the Chief Selector, Haroon Rashid, is very happy with that news. Another notable return to the Men in Green is Hassan Ali, who will be back in the squad after a sizzling performance in county cricket.
