City in Context:
City in Context is a four-day symposium, happening right now at Alhamrah Arts Council, presenting following keynote projects:
Urbanities – Art and Public Space in Pakistanby the Goethe-Institut Pakistan and Lahore Biennale Foundation (LBF)
Stories We Tell (Aao Sunayein Kahani)by the Beaconhouse National University – School of Visual Arts and Design (BNU-SVAD), the Centre for Culture and Development (CKU) and the Lahore Biennale Foundation.
For the very first time, Lahore Biennal 01 has been inaugurated in a public introductory session in Pakistan. The Lahore Biennale Foundation (LBF) is a non-profit organization which aims to use art as a tool to address, express and to resolve social issues.
There are a lot of workshops, talks, performances, discussions and exhibitions going on during the event and has brought together poets, writers, musicians, artists and other activists to discuss innovative ideas and projects related to myriad aspects of urban demesne. . Next, let’s talk about food. Pakistan Culinary festival 2016 is currently being held in Lahore from 1st to 4th December at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Gaddafi Stadium.Pakistan Culinary Championship is one of its kind culinary competition held for the first time in Pakistan, for professional chefs competing with one another.
The festival isn’t only about the Culinary Championship but there numerous restaurant stalls and other food and beverage companies stalls as well. However, it is not just about food but it has got several activities for family entertainment including:
