Apple iPhone X launched-10 years after the launch of the First iPhone

The much awaited iPhone 8 finally became official earlier today and has been subject to some serious objections. Criticized for lack of innovation, the iPhone 8 fails to amaze the consumers and couldn’t produce much hype. Perhaps the announcement and demonstration of the Apple iPhone X was the highlight of the event and it stole the show.

iPhone X, also known as the iPhone, 10 is a 10th Anniversary special edition and is more like what you’d expect from Apple. Priced at $999, the iPhone X offers fairly decent specs and quite a lot of features that were previously missing on Apple devices.

To begin with, Apple’s special 10th anniversary edition phone comes with a whole new all-screen bezel-less design with rounded corners and no home button, similar to Samsung’s infinity display. The display sported on the Apple iPhone X is a beautiful and delicate 5.8” retina OLED panel that offers even truer colours and better viewing angles.

Coming to the internals, this device is powered by Apple’s latest A11 Bionic chip, combined with 3 Gigs of RAM. There are two internal storage options available. The 64 GB variant and the 256 GB variant, priced at $999 and $1149, respectively. The Primary camera is a 12MP dual-lens setup with dual optical image stabilization, comprising of a wide angle and a telephoto lens with apertures f/1.8 and f/2.4, respectively.
The front camera is a 7 MP Lens with a portrait mode, exposure control and auto image stabilization.
Apple also claims that the cameras on the iPhone 8 and iPhone X leverage the new natural lighting effect and augmented reality features.

Another much hyped feature introduced by Apple for the first time in their devices, is the Face ID. Apple has replaced the touch ID with their new Face ID, which as per their claims, is faster and more secure.
Apple’s facial recognition uses TrueDepth camera system to save a user’s face credentials and unlock the device with a mere glance.
While Apple’s new facial recognition unlock is supposed to be faster, more secure and more accurate, the feature actually failed during its demonstration at the launch event, inviting a lot of backlash.

The Apple iPhone X offers a lot, but has got some serious competition as well, with the Galaxy Note 8 and the LG V30 being the most notable ones and we’re yet to see how this device stacks up against its competitors.
