Google is all set to make a comeback and claim their deserved market share in the mobile industry with their latest phone, the Google Pixel 2. Google had been experimenting with different smartphone manufactures for their own stock phones and the Pixel series by HTC is their latest card.
Google unveiled the Google Pixel (and Pixel XL) last year and received a pretty good response. Their devices were admired by consumers for their clean UI, durable built and snappy performance.
Now when all the major smartphone companies have launched their flagship devices, Google’s Pixel 2 is set to hit the shelves pretty soon as well.
Rumors surrounding the release of this device are finally put to rest as Google has send out invites to tech journalists for the launch event of their smartphone, scheduled on 4 October 2017.
Google released 2 variants last year, the Pixel and the Pixel XL and we’re expecting the same this year as well. Google is most likely to unveil the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.
While Google failed to impress the consumers with the design of their previous devices, we’re expecting something more from them this time.
As per some reports, Google is likely to shrink down the bezels to a great extent, make the device slimmer and make the corners sharper while other reports suggest that there won’t be prominent changes in the design and Google will retain the structure and concept form their previous phone.
Pixel’s design is a well-kept secret and we’ll only get to know the exact thing once the device goes official.
Google Pixel 2 is expected to arrive with strong and impressive internals. As per emerging reports, the Pixel 2 would be powered either by a Snapdragon 835 or a Snapdragon 836 processor, combined with 3/4 Gigs of Ram and 64/128 GB of internal storage.
The device is expected to sport a 6” OLED panel and run a pure version of Android Oreo.
As far as the Camera is concerned, we can expect Google to retain the fantastic 16 MP and 8 MP shooters from the original Pixel and add OIS, phase detection, laser auto-focus, Deal-LED flash and some other features to improve the overall experience. As per reports, Google has focused on excellent low-light photography.
The Google Pixel 2 is likely to be priced at $600 while the Pixel 2 XL would cost you around $720.
