CASES

As we all know that corona virus is very big challenge to whole world and its third wave is more

intense and deadly then the first two waves. In third wave, cases of corona keep pace to increase.

Data collected from average 3-day survey shows 8 % positivity increase in cases. Keeping in view,

NCOC held meeting in Islamabad on 28 march with FEDERAL MINISTER OF PLANNING and

DEVELOPMENT and SPECIAL INITIATIVE ASAD UMER and PROVINCIAL GENERAL SECRETARIES via

video link. In meeting important decisions are taken to control wide spread of COVID-19. It is

decided that all indoor and outdoor wedding should be banned from 5 APRIL, 2021.All other events

like sport, social, cultural political event should be banned. Due to such ban people get limited to

their home and less meet up and outdoor activities occurs, that lead to decrease in spread of

pandemic. Provinces are free to impose restriction early depending upon prevailing condition of

COVID-19.NCOC will provide updated hotspot map (showing the rising pace of corona virus cases) to

provinces from MARCH 29,2021 so they will be imposed extensive lock down. Data that has been

collected from just Islamabad in last 24 hours on 28 MARCH,2021 is shown in table

  • AGE CASES REPORT
  • IN 24 HOURS:Lessthan 10 years:71
  • From 21 yearsto 30year:131
  • From 31 year to 45 year:222

This data shows wide spread rise of corona. Overall positive COVID -19 case that has been reported

in Islamabad reaches up to 55 thousand 56 .Its so much alarming situation that in Islamabad where

peoples are educated ,even follows SOPS and preventive measure still corona is prevailing with

rapid pace. In all provinces of PAKISTAN cases are keep on increasing that there is no space left even

in hospital. PRIME MINISTER IMRAN KHAN is also suffering from COVID-19 and he appealed through

television message to follow COVID -19 SOPS and all precautionary measures as third waves is going

to be more intense. NCOC also said to government to implement restriction in inter-provincial

travelling but final decision will be taken after analysis of number of commuters. It is also directed

that vaccination goal of NCOC are met in a timely manner. According to data that is taken from 3

days in a row shows that Pakistan has 4767 cases reported just in a signal day with 57 deaths.

Pakistan tested total 45,656 cases on Saturday out of which 10 % percent show positivity. Country

  • wise break down of new case are

  • KPK 979
  • Baluchistan 44
  • Islamabad 538
  • Gilgit Baltistan 9
  • Azad kashmir 129
  • Sindh 252

If the number keep on increasing with this pace, then in few days or next week PAKISTAN will soon
cross the peak of first wave.

PM convey message to public by saying that half of the hospitals are
going to be filled and cases are still growing up day by day and patient are going to ventilator. If we will not take step to stop outdoor activities then it will keep on spreading and we cannot control it.

It’s time to implement smart lock, follow SOPS, stand at a distance to 6 feet, use masks and sanitizers. These preventive measures are not just for ourselves but for other lives as well.

Its duty of every Pakistan to play his or her role to combat this disease and defend peoples.
