HTC U Ultra’s Launch

HTC U Ultra was released in February 2017 before Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. The phone was geared up with lots of new and incredible features to compete with the other smartphones. But after the release of various flagships from various mobile phone manufacturers HTC U Ultra faced a tough time in the mobile market.

HTC U Ultra

Price Decreased by 20%

Moreover, the price of the flagship was initially announced as (PKR 78528/-) $749. Which was quite reasonable at that time against its features. But, due to lack of sales, HTC has made a tough decision of decrease in its price. The price of the flagship is dropped by 20%. Furthermore, now you can get HTC U Ultra in (PKR 62802/-) $599.

Most of all, the U Ultra now costs as much as (PKR 5242/-) $50 less than the LG G6 as well as (PKR 12581/-) $120 less than the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Drawbacks

As, ever since its launch, HTC U Ultra has failed to get enough momentum. Moreover, some of the technical faults which the reviewers found are

  • Lack of a headphone jack disappointing,
  • Its second display gimmicky
  • It’s camera sub-par

Moreover, the scratch-prone glass design of the phone (which is not water or dust proof) matches nowhere near the quality or looks of the Galaxy S8 or the LG G6.

With the price drop in place, the phone finally has one major advantage over its competitors, though, it still doesn’t guarantee a shift in fortunes.

3 Major Mistakes That Shorten the Life of Our Gadgets

Charging the Battery

Gadgets

Modern Li-ion and Li-Pol batteries have no memory effect, so you should recharge your Gadgets i.e. mobile phones, tablets, laptops etc. without waiting for the battery level to be dropped to zero. Most of the manufacturers measure a battery’s life from the number of its full discharged cycles.

Therefore, you should recharge the batteries more often to increase the performance and life of your gadgets.  Moreover, the battery will last longer if you keep the charge between 40% and 80%.

Temperature Control

Gadgets

While using a laptop, avoid putting it on your lap or on the bed. Because all the heat generated during the usage of the laptop is obstructed and leads to malfunctioning. The device’s ventilation openings should be kept unobstructed. The high temperature is the worst enemy of the batteries.

Exposure

Gadgets

  • Furthermore, usage of Gadgets in a thunderstorm is dangerous. Most of the time Due to lightning electric appliances can experience the full wrath of nature. So, the best option is to unplug the electronic devices and avoid the usage of gadgets in thunderstorms.

Samsung Galaxy S8 VS Apple iPhone 7: Which one is best?

0

After arrival of Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 7 got a real competitor. iPhone 8 is no more far to be released and Apple must be considering it after watching Samsung Galaxy S8 as rivalry of I phone 7 for whole 2017. What are the differences you can find are going to discuss here, Lets have closer look

Design

However in most of areas you will find similarity but the design of these two handsets are striking contrastive.

  • Galaxy S8 – 5.8-inch Super AMOLED, 1440 x 2960 pixels (570 ppi pixel density), 83.6% screen-to-body ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5
  • iPhone 7 – 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD, 1334 x 750 pixels (326 ppi), 65.6% screen-to-body ratio

It has 5.8-inch OLED display which fills out the front of the phone almost completely as compared to the limp 65.6% of the iPhone 7. If we talk about color display then S8 has even sharp and brighter display contrast than Apple’s iPhone 7. The Galaxy S8 provides best video experience for its viewers because it is the first to attain Mobile HDR Premium certification.

Large Screen Display

Samsung Galaxy S8 has another win over iPhone , in short Samsung has produced a large screen phone which is bigger than iPhone  plus : 5.5 inch display screen.

  • Galaxy S8 – 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm ( 5.86 x 2.68 x 0.31-inch), 155g (5.36 oz)
  • iPhone 7 – 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm (5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 in) and 138 g (4.87 oz)

Apart from large screen, iPhone7 comes with durable metal body; aluminium back is more reliable than Galaxy S8. Moreover the finger print sensor in Galaxy S8 on the back and very close to camera lens is not a good idea because every single you touch the sensor you will rub off lens un-intentionally.

Ram, Processor and Storage

Samsung Galaxy S8 is the first flagship Android phone to launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. Based on the 10nm fabrication process, this octa-core chip is clocked at 2.35GHz and is paired with the excellent Adreno 540 GPU. In terms of storage, iPhone 7 comes with 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, while the Galaxy S8 comes with 4GB of it. Samsung has given a microSD slot that supports 256GB of storage expansion also Galaxy S8 has IP68water and dust resistance certification which is quite better than Apple iPhone 7’s IP67.

Camera Features

Now lets talk about camera features of both handsets. Although Samsung brought nothing new in Galaxy S8 camera as it is similar to Galaxy S7 camera. Both the phones have 12 MP rear camera but both are dissimilar. Galaxy S8 as slightly wider aperture and the Dual Pixel autofocus technology which is an advantage over the iPhone 7 in low-light scenarios. Both phones are also capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, take Live Photos/Motion Photos, slow-mo, and more. While front camera features are different, the iPhone 7 features a 7MP f/2.2 shooter with Retina Flash, while the Galaxy S8 features an 8MP f/1.7 aperture shooter with autofocus.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has various sensors which the iPhone 7 does not possess. On the front, the Galaxy S8 houses an iris scanner. Samsungs’ company has further improved this feature.  Now the handset also features facial recognition which the iPhone 7 lacks.

Verdict

The Galaxy S8’s design, Infinity Display, expandable storage, fast charging, and superior rear camera gives it an edge over the iPhone 7. Well on the other hand superior software experience, better performance, security, and privacy cannot give a match to the S8. Therfore both have their stunning features and look which handset do you prefer its up to you.
