The 2024 E-Class boasts a significant enhancement: the Superscreen. It merges the standard central touchscreen with an additional display in front of the passenger, unlike the EQS’s Hyperscreen, which maintains the digital gauge cluster as a separate display.
The Superscreen’s design features sleek air vents that curve along the screen’s top and a set of touch-capacitive buttons situated below the center display, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The Superscreen and its MBUX infotainment system are powered by a central computer with a single processor, which is a departure from previous models that employed multiple processors for various functions.
Mercedes’ new software-centric architecture enables faster data streams and more advanced updates. An optional Entertainment Plus package includes a 5G connection and other connected services. The icon and menu design has been streamlined to resemble smartphone tiles, and users can customize a greater number of the display’s functions.
