Huawei to Beta Launch New Harmony OS in December

Huawei Harmony OS is not that far away. With the change in US Presidency, Huawei is fully aware that Google Services are not something they should rely on or hope to get back. Which is the reason why Huawei is forever focusing on bettering their own technology and making sure they have something better to offer to their customers.

In an effort to do just that, Huawei is working tirelessly to master their own OS. The President of the Software Department of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, Wang Chenglu announced that they will make their Harmony OS available to developers soon.

New Update Regarding Harmony OS

According to Mr. Chenglu, the operating system will be available as an open-source platform to the developers on December 18th and after that its first demo units will be running the Harmony OS by January or February of 2021.

According to Wang Chenglu, Huawei is working tirelessly to building their own independent ecosystem around the Harmony OS. They are positive that everything is going according to plan and are expecting the first round of initial reports to get back to them by the end of first quarter of 2021. The public should be able to experience the beta version of Harmony OS by April 2021.

By that time, Huawei and its executives are positive that almost 90% of their smartphones will be ready for an update, which is a huge feat. Once there is an update ready, their consumers will be ready to experience the new operating system very soon.

There is a little chance that the USA will soften its stance on the Chinese tech giant and allow Google to openly work with Huawei professionally. However, Huawei is not sitting back relying on Google or the USA. They are ready for a shift in the smartphone world and break Google’s monopoly in the operating system market.

It wouldn’t be too far now that we finally have three major players in the operating system field. Huawei is ready to claim a place beside Google and Apple. Let’s see if the Harmony OS is a hit or not.

Matches Resume After A Break in Corona Cases

While the whole world is still playing catchup, Pakistan is one of the blessed countries where the government was about to take timely measures to control the virus before it was too late. Due to the hard work of the government, PSL 2020 is all set to begin once again in Pakistan.

The first two knock out matches are set to be played on 14th November and 15th November. The final of the PSL 2020 is set to be played on 17th of November. Jazz Islamabad Head Office Sealed Over Tax Non-Payment

Jazz Islamabad Head office sealed by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). In a surprising turn of events, the news broke the internet when it was announced by FBR on Wednesday that they have sealed Jazz/Mobilink’s head office in Islamabad over nonpayment of tax.

Pakistan Mobile Communication Limited (PMCL) is more commonly known as Mobilink or Jazz in Pakistan. The news shocked the internet with its unexpectedness and frankly, no was expecting Jazz to have such a big tax deficit remaining.

Jazz Office Sealed Over Non-Tax Payment

The Federal Board or Revenue or FBR announced that Jazz has failed to pay Rs. 25.3 billion in income tax, which for the year 2018. The notice was issued to the company on the morning of Wednesday, 28th October, 2020 and the Jazz Islamabad Head office was sealed a few hours later.

The company had time until 1 pm Thursday, i.e. 29th October, 2020.

According to the statement released, “PMCL is an existing taxpayer falling in the jurisdiction of this office [LTU Islamabad]. An income tax amount of Rs25,393,653,480 was outstanding against the said company, which has been refraining from clearing its liabilities deliberately, dishonestly and without any lawful excuse, thus causing huge loss to the national exchequer,” the documents read.

“Therefore, on the basis of facts stated inter alia, I, Ahmad Shakeel Babar, Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue, in exercise of the powers vested in me in terms of section 138 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 read with section 48 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, order to seal the business premises of the defaulter till the payment of outstanding dues in full or withdrawal of this order.”

In answer to this, Jazz released their own statement regarding the Jazz Islamabad Head office sealed, in which they said, “Jazz is a law-abiding and responsible corporate citizen. Our contribution to Pakistan’s economy over the past 25 years is significant. We have received a notice from FBR this afternoon.”

“Jazz has made tax submissions based on legal interpretations of the tax owed. We will review and take measures under our legal obligations and will collaborate with all concerned institutions for an early resolution of this issue.”

The FBR’s Islamabad Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) created the demand for tax as well as surcharge in the tax year 2019.

Coming with the tag “Leap Further Ahead,” this behemoth of a smartphone is packed full of new features and technologies. The new phone will be available as Huawei Mate 40 and Pro. Both of the versions will soon be available in Pakistan and it is expected that this flagship phone is going to be an instant hit.

Here is a breakdown of the specifications, details and price of the Huawei Mate 40 and Pro that will soon be available in the smartphone markets.

Performance Specifications

To begin with, the Huawei Mate 40 and Pro will both be available with Android 10 without Google Play services. Both versions will come with Hybrid Dual SIM with Nano-SIM feature. The smartphone will also come with 3G, 4G and the much coveted 5G technology.

As for the actual performance, the Huawei Mate 40 and its Pro will come with a massive 3.13 Ghz Cortex Octa-Core processor. It will feature a Kirin 9000 5G chipset and a Mali G78 MP24 GPU. The Mate 40 will come with 4,200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging while the Mate 40 Pro will come with 4,400 mAh battery with a 65W fast charging capability (as well as fast wireless charging).

Screen and Camera Specifications

The Mate 40 comes with a big 6.5 inch screen that features Coring Gorilla Glass protection. This OLED capacitive touchscreen has 1080×2376 pixels that turn out to be 402 pixels per inch. As an extra feature, the screen with have 90Hz refresh rate.

The Pro version will have a massive 6.76 inches OLEC capacitive touchscreen and feature Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The screen has an impressive 1344×2773 pixels that churn out 456 pixels per inch. As an added feature, the screen will have 120Hz refresh rate.

As for the camera, the Mate 40 will feature a dual front camera that consists of a big 13MP lens that can capture videos with 4K. The back features a Triple main camera that consists of a 50MP lens, 8MP lens and a 16MP lens. You will also have access to dual tone flash and capture images and videos in 4K.

For the Pro version, the front camera remains the same, but the real change comes with the main camera. It is a Quad camera affair in the back that consists of a 50MP lens, a 12MP lens, 20MP lens and a depth sensor for images and videos in 4K.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Specs & Images Leaked Ahead of Launch

After the successful launch of the Samsung S20 series, Samsung is now gearing up to launch its brand-new Samsung Galaxy S21 series. There are speculations that the South Korean brand will launch the series in early 2021. It is going the new flagship phone and it is expected that it will feature all the best features the brand has to offer.

To make things even more interesting, some pictures of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series. At the moment it is believed that the leaked images and specifications belong to the Samsung Galaxy  S21 and S21 Ultra, however, nothing is confirmed by the brand as of yet.

Here is what we have discovered as part of this new leak…

To begin with, Samsung S21 and S21 Ultra will both feature a brand-new centered punch hole cutout. This will help the phone bring a graceful look with a completely bezel-less design. It is expected that the S21 will feature a flat 6.2 inch touchscreen panel whereas the S21 Ultra will boast a touchscreen panel between 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches. Another difference is that the screen of the Ultra will have more curves.

The back of both phones is different from their predecessor. The new flagship phone by Samsung will feature three cameras that are now vertically stacked and have a rounded design that runs along the side of the phone. The flash is added separately from the cameras and is placed just outside of the camera bumps.

Other change brought to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the camera bump. It is much more pronounced on this model and carries four cameras than the other S21. It is also rumored that the S21 Ultra will feature an S-Pen, however, nothing has been confirmed by the brand.

Expected Release Date and Price

It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be available in the global smartphone markets at least by the end of March. However, it is expected that the phone will be released by February. No price listing has been made available or leaked for that matter, but only time will tell. But you can bet that the Samsung S21 will be cheaper than Samsung S21 Ultra.
