While the 5G technology is not available in Pakistan at the moment, iPhone lovers are happy to explore each of these models.

Apple introduced iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Max, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max to the world and boasts the phones to be the best iPhones ever. These are going to be the fastest smartphones in the market with Ceramic Shield, Night Mode and so much more.

Here is what you need to know about the all-new iPhone 12 and its different models.

Performance Specifications

Each of the 5 models are promised to deliver excellent performance. The titular iPhone 12 and its subsequent models are all going to be dual SIM models with dual standby with a nano SIM slot. They all will come with the latest iOS 14 and Hexa Core 2.65 GHz processor.

Pakistan Bans TikTok Over Immoral Content

After careful consideration for months, Pakistan bans TikTok. TikTok, a Chinese social media app, skyrocketed in popularity with teenagers and video makers when it was launched. Many Pakistani users became celebrities overnight when they used TikTok to show their talents to the world.

However, with the influx of talent came influx of users who posted videos sharing indecent and immortal content that did not sit well with the Pakistani public at large. Soon, certain groups came to demand Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA take action against the social media and ban it in the country. Now that Pakistan bans TikTok, it will be a huge loss for the talent that emerged from it.

TikTok Banned

In a statement just released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, put the final notice to TikTok and its operating company, PTA had to take legal actions when the application developers failed to comply with PTA. Pakistan bans TikTok and it seems like the ban will stay for a long time.

The state reads, “Keeping in view the complaints and nature of the content being consistently posted on TikTok, PTA issued a final notice to the application. However, the application failed to fully comply with the instructions. Therefore, directions were issued for blocking of TikTok application in the country.”

The final warning was given to the app for explicit content back in July and the developing company ByteDance failed to comply with it. The company came under the fire worldwide because of its privacy and security concerns. The app is already considered for a ban in United States of America and Australia and India has already banned it in the country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan advised PTA to take whatever measures they can to block indecent and vulgar content.

The Future of TikTok in Pakistan

While it may seem like the end for many TikTok celebrities in Pakistan, this is not it. PTA has informed TikTok developers that the regulation is open for engagement and they can review the policy if TikTok reviews its safety and censor standards. Pakistan bans TikTok, but that can change.

TikTok star Jannat Mirza, the only Pakistani TikTok celebrity with 10 million subscribers that the ban should be evoked, but only after applying some strict rules. Let’s see what happens next. At the moment, TikTok cannot be used or operated in Pakistan. Pakistan bans TikTok, but that is not the end.

Telenor Looting Customers with Unapproved Subscription Services

Just a few days ago, Jazz customers took to twitter to let the world know how Jazz is looting their balance without their permission and Telenor is doing the same now. Jazz, the number 1 telecommunication company in Pakistan came under the fire of angry customers when they failed to offer them security and safety of their mobile balance.

Unsuspecting clients were charged for Hungama service and Bajao without even taking consent from the people who were charged. However, to the outrage of people, Jazz continued to charge their customers for other services they never activated and when prompted, they had no answer for their transgression.


What angered the customers the most was that they wouldn’t even get to know about it if they didn’t get a subscription messages, which didn’t happen in most of the cases. To make the situation worse, Telenor is using same tactics to loot balance of their unsuspecting customers.

Telenor Looting Customers’ Balance

In a strange turn of events, Telenor customers are also facing this issue and much like Jazz, Telenor has no answer for it. Telenor consumers are also being charged for services they never activated and now they are being charged for it.

The customers are receiving SMS that they are being charged for Data usage at standard rate, even if they weren’t using data at all. Most of the customers have their mobile data switched off or they are using wi-fi. While some of the customers are able to get their balance back, not all of them are lucky this way.

Telenor is only reverting the balance back for those customers who have complained at large. The others are left to wonder if they really used the data by mistake or not.

Customer Rage Demands Justice

After the fiasco of Jazz and now of Telenor, consumers all over the country are looking for answers and justice. Consumers are demanding Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to take responsibility and take strict actions against these companies.

While no official statement has been released by PTA yet, the people are demanding for justice and to scrutinize the ongoings of these telecommunication companies.
