Speaking on the occasion, Ali Riaz said Bahria Town had the distinction of introducing the most modern facilities in Pakistan. “It is an honor to build Pakistan’s largest cricket stadium in Karachi. The project will help in encouraging sports as well as tourism in the country.”

He said the real estate group will keep introducing such projects, which are greatly appreciated by the general public. “Such projects will, Insha-Allah, prove to be the best projects of the country,” he added.

Design & Features

Furthermore, the Rafi Cricket Stadium is designed by Gerkan, Marg, and Partners. The design of the stadium was certified earlier by ICC. Moreover, the complex is designed and constructed by keeping the international standards in mind. Therefore, it consists of:

  • A cricket academy of international standard
  • Gymnasium
  • Swimming pool
  • Hostels etc.

Most of all, the complex will also include a sports academy. It will provide an opportunity for the comeback of international cricket in Pakistan. The complex has been completed and it is said that the opening ceremony will be held on 14 April 2017. Moreover, it is expected that the stadium will help the nation to welcome the international events which will be held in Pakistan.
