Cricket is the most loved sport across the globe. The way it has expanded in Pakistan is truly remarkable. The young Pakistan cricket players have given us new hope with their talent and dedication. They have inevitably made us all proud internationally.
Be it a test format or T20, we are no less than others and the credit goes to this new and young talent. There was a time when players like Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle ruled the cricket world, but now we have our own talent.
The arrival of Pakistani Captain Babar Azam changed the overall picture of the Pakistan cricket team, and now we are competing on every level. Pakistan has generated a few other big names who are doing well and are all set to be at the number spot.
Future Stars of Pakistan Cricket Team
Below I have given such names who can be the next big thing for the Pakistan cricket team. We have many Pakistan national and international cricket players that you would love to know. All the below-mentioned players are worth mentioning. Here we go.
1- Abdullah Shafique
If we look at Abdullah Shafique stats, we will get an idea of how big of a star he can become in a few years. The quality shots he plays and the way he plays defensive in tests when needed are class apart. He has a test record of 201 runs he scored against Sri Lanka in 2023 and won the Man of the Match award.
He is rated a high-class player, and the world is already admitting it. At 23 years of age, he is achieving big things which is enough to make him a big star. His PSL 2023 record was also up to the mark. His stats in test cricket are admirable however, he needs to do something extraordinary in T20 because of his poor record, as he scored 4 ducks consecutively. He is also known for his singing talent.
2- Saud Shakeel
It would be unfair not to name this exceptional talent when we talk about the future stars of the Pakistan cricket team. Saud hasn’t played T20 and ODI yet, but his records in Test format are beyond imagination. Recently he has made a world record of scoring 50+ in all his 7 matches. Saud has brilliant stats in test format so far.
If rumors are to be believed, he might get a chance in ODI soon, but nothing is confirmed yet. His highest score is 208, which he made against Sri Lanka and helped his team win the match.
3- Abrar Ahmad
It is said that Pakistan is the land of bowlers. The country produces the best bowlers, and we completely agree with that. Apart from Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf, we have finally found another great bowler i.e. Abrar Ahmad.
He is the biggest asset in test format, which he has repeatedly proved. On his debut against England, he took 5 wicket haul. By playing only 6 international matches, he has taken almost 38 wickets. His stats are enough to prove how remarkable he is in the format.
4- Salman Ali Agha
The next name on this list is Salman Ali Agha, another great addition to the Pakistan cricket team. Currently, he plays Test and ODI cricket and is a great allrounder who displays performance both with the bat and ball. He has 2 test centuries so far and a few half-centuries in ODI. Salman can be the next big thing in cricket; we are already hoping for that.
5- Zaman Khan
The fast bowler Zaman Khan can also be added to this list as he is repeatedly proving why he is the best. If there is any bowler who can be trusted for death overs, no one comes close to Zaman. He helped his team win the PSL 8 titles because of his brilliant last over. Later, he played in many leagues and continuously showed his capabilities.
