Telenor Partners Up With Vivid For Quality Services

0

Telenor has recently struck a deal with Vivid Technologies – a U.K based company that provides visual IVR (Interactive voice response) services.

This move is expected to enhance the telephony service and overall customer support service through the use of upgraded technologies in terms of ‘visual navigation’.

Visual Navigation

Generally, to speak with an operator, people are required to dial helpline number and follow the instructions they are provided. This whole ‘Voice Navigation’ process is tiresome and takes a lot of time. Telenor is now focusing to address this annoyance through new and improved process.

With collaboration of Vivid Technologies, Telenor is seeking to introduce a new method called ‘Visual Navigation’ which will let people swipe through options and dial a number that directs the compaint to the relevant department without any delays. This will result in time-saving and improved customer support.

Project Details:

Through this project, Vivid and Telenor are expecting to:

  • Reduce enterprise call center costs by 26%
  • Improve customer satisfaction by 65%
  • Help reduce incoming call traffic by 30-35% making it cost effective, engaging and interactive.
  • Save customer time by 10 times. (60 seconds of first generation IVR versus 6 seconds of quick glance on the visual IVR to consume the information or carry out an action).
  • Optimize staffing efficiency by 12%

The deal was finalised in November 2016, where Vidid was also partnered to improve the Telenor business units in APAC region. In Pakistan, Vivid is expected to introduce this setup in the first quarter of 2017. Telenor customers will be able to experience this through 345 helpline.Mr. Kashif Naeem – Director Business Development at Vivid said in a statement

we believe that the telephone needs to take a step forward and it needs to change in a way that empowers the customer and makes their lives easier. So that customers are no longer stuck on hold.

“The whole idea is to improve that fabric of connectivity between the customer and customer services and to make both of their lives easier. We are obsessed with the idea of improving this interaction. This partnership is a stepping stone towards greater things for Vivid.” – he said further.

Civil War Between iPhone & Samsung Mobiles

0

iPhone v/s Samsung is similar to the Civil War Captain America. So let’s have a quick sneak peak at variety, availability, operating system and price range comparison analysis between the two.

Source: http://www.kpcb.com/internet-trends

Design

It is undeniable that Samsung did copied Apple but EDGE, EDGE Plus and especially after sleek S7 designs, Samsung has definitely won the arena. On the other hand, iPhone 7 is a considered to be the complete makeover of iPhone 6S.

Camera

Samsung has introduced dual pixel sensor whereas Apple went for a bigger sensor to produce superior quality images.

Operating System and Storage

Samsung has always used Android as its OS and its Marshmallow with TouchWiz as cherry on top thus removing the bugs to give swift and smooth response to users. Apple has designed A10 Fusion for iPhone 7 to make it 40% faster than A9. Well, as far as storage in Apple is concerned, it has finally augmented its storage capacity by providing myriad options including 32GB, 128GB and 256GB.

Battery

Apple has always been a target of criticism for smaller battery time in previous version of iPhones but it has definitely improved its battery life in iPhone 7. On the other side, Android has got improved battery management features for example“Doze” and “Always On” mode which makes Samsung an invincible player in this zone.

Verdict

It can be said without any second though that Samsung is a win among youth and college, university students for its inventive sleek and stylish designs, large screens, more storage and visibly lower price.

On the other hand, it’s quite clear Samsung can never beat iPhone camera. Apple has concentrated its focus more on technology advances and enhanced features and thus, delivers an outstanding user experience and it is needless to say that it is always worth to pay for an iPhone.

Report: 99% Of The Fake Chargers Are Dangerous

0
charger

The infamous Galaxy Note 7 fiasco is no secret. It has caused Samsung millions of dollars and also hurt their reputation severely. Admirably, Samsung admitted the fault and not only refunded the users in full, but also apologized publicly for the catastrophe. But that was the very rare case where the company has admitted the fault.

In the history, we’ve seen quite a lot of phone catching the fire out of nowhere. Most people blame the phone manufacturer for the loss, and accuse them for using cheap materials and flawed designs — but is it always the case?

Of course, not.

Fake Charger – Is It Worth It?

Barring the Note 7, it is mostly the user’s fault that causes the phone to go up in flames, and in most cases, a cheap, third-party charger has caused the debacle as per research.

A new research carried out by UK consumer protection group Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) has shown that a fake charger is almost guaranteed to be dangerous.

For research, the investigators purchased 400 different Apple chargers. All chargers were bought online and from different retailers. Shockingly, out of those 400 chargers, only 3 chargers managed to pass the “basic safety test”.

They also tested a number of other items obtained from charities and 2nd hand shops, and the testing shows that around 15% to 27% of the items were also unsafe.

Although the investigators did not delve into details to explain their tests and the type of dangers that fake chargers possess, but the study clearly showed that 99% of the fake chargers are dangerous for your phone.

Be Smart And Buy Genuine Products

A cheap charger may give you a benefit in short term, however, keep in mind that it is going to cost you in long term. Perhaps it could be cheap materials or faulty designs, or whatever it is, you should avoid using fake chargers, at all cost. Also, whenever you grab a second-hand device, make sure you are getting a genuine charger and cables, and check for any irregularities on the device.

Watch Momina Mustehsan in PSL 2017

1

Momina Mustehsan, a name that every Pakistani guy is aware of that took internet by storm, is supporting the current PSL champions Islamabad United, a shocker there, Oh Zalmi where were you. Just so you know that I was a Zalmi supporter and after this I have decided to change my loyalties to United and I am sure many will follow in my footsteps. Her smile and her eyes and her voice are the things that can freeze anyone and on top of that she is supporting Islamabad United. She is truly a champion.

Along with the looks, she has also got all the singing talents in the world. She became the talk of the town with her ‘Afreen Afreen’ that she sang along Rahat Fateh Ali khan in coke studio season 9. Momina who made her singing debut with Farhan Saeed on his song Pee Jaun didn’t look back and now she is on top of the world. New York based Pakistani singer isn’t just about singing and looks, she is using Islamabad United platform to show the world the women empowerment and their rights. She has also shut her haters time and time again, her reply to a hater who judged her looks and compared her to a maid, was pretty damn straight, and this is what she had to say;
“Resembling your maid isn’t offensive, I’m glad I have lookalikes who work hard, even if it’s as a maid at someone’s house #RespectAll.”

After making a lot of girls jealous by becoming the crush of whole nation, Momina has now also made the fans of other PSL teams jealous too, I am sure fans are cursing the owners of their teams for not appointing Momina as their ambassador. Islamabad United surely took a great step to make Momina their empowerment champion, along with all the great message, that would surely earn them more fans to be honest.

Shifa International Hospital Islamabad-Public Opinion

5

Considered to be one of the very best hospitals, not just in Islamabad but in Pakistan, Shifa International Hospital is losing its reputation day by day.It isn’t the best anymore, thanks to the negligent administration and a number of other factors. Here are some of the reasons why Shifa International isn’t the same as it was before.shifa hospital

  1. Doctors’ Transfer to QAU

Shifa Intl. used to have the services of the very best consultants and specialists in the medical field, however, with the inauguration of Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, the decline of Shifa was already on its way. Many proficient doctors have joined QAU who were previously offering their adept services in Shifa Intl.

  1. Treatment on Panel

Most of you would have heard of the contract between hospitals and organizations, both private and govt. to facilitate the employees of the organizations in case of medical emergencies, haven’t you?Well, same is the case with Shifa Intl. and a number of companies. Having to treat a large number of people at a discounted rate, Shifa makes compromises on the quality of treatment, which reflects on everything quite clearly.

  1. Unnecessary Tests

There are so many irrelevant tests which diagnose nothing but cost you quite a lot of money. Money seems to be the priority here nowadays, instead of quality treatment. Everyone knows how expensive everything already is in Shifa International Hospital, right?

  1. Registration Fee/ Official Bhatta

If the patient gets the appointment in the OPD, he or she has to submit the registration fee. Not just this, you also have to pay the parking fee, however, if you have bought a few medicines from the pharmacy, you can get a refund, but not everyone’s there to buy medicines, right? That’s unfair on so many levels, according to me at least.

  1. No facilities for Attendants

It seems better to be the patient in Shifa, instead of being an attendant. You will not have a proper resting place, nor a good meal from the cafeteria.

  1. Expensive Cafeteria

Although, Shifa is an expensive hospital, not many can afford to be treated there, however, the cafeteria prices must be within a reasonable range. There are discounted rates for Shifa’s employees and you will be looted with both hands, if you’re a patient or an attendee.

7- Quality is Compromised:

The quality of the hospital is being compromised and it;s not the best as it was. the nursing care or doctors behavior everything is being compromised now, and Shifa should revisit their policies to regain there image. For such a higher amount people wont get that kind of treatment as it was initially. And now due to over crowded the management seems to earn more rather then serve.

Abdul Razzaq is back in PSL 2017

0

Abdul Razzaq, Pakistani all-round cricketer is back, but this time he hasn’t made his comeback as a player rather he will be coaching the 1st season’s PSL runner-ups Quetta Gladiators. Along with all the ups and downs this guy had quite a few moments in his career that you can’t forget. I mean who can forget his innings in UAE against South Africa where he single handily chased down the target of 287 and scored 109 off 72 and also took a wicket along the way.

Though he is still available to play in the national side, Quetta have decided to give him a chance to prove his worth as an assistant and bowling coach, a new concept in cricket. However you were wrong if you thought this could come without a little bit of controversy. Because things don’t come without creating a little stir in the system, that’s how it is. Well anyways, Seems like Ian Pont, now the ex-Quetta Gladiators coach, didn’t have the knowledge that he was replaced until he found about it from Abdul Razzaq’s social media account.wp-1480700260838.jpg

Pont’s twitter account said;

“I HAVE JUST FOUND OUT ON SOCIAL MEDIA, THAT I HAVE BEEN REPLACED AS ASSISTANT AND BOWLING COACH FOR 2016 PSL RUNNERS-UP, QUETTA GLADIATORS, NATURALLY, I RESPECT THE FRANCHISE’S DECISION TO BRING IN SOMEONE ELSE. THAT IS THEIR RIGHT.”

Though Quetta Gladiators gave a little hint to Pont’s agent that he might not the contract extension but it seems a little unprofessional of a franchise of such a huge league. However Pont showed great character and wished Abdul Razzaq good luck.

Anyways despite all the controversies Abdul Razzaq seems a great edition, he has had a pretty decent career as a player let’s see how good he does as a coach.
