Star Wars

A film that needs no marketing and it is the most anticipated film of 2017. Director Rian Johnson picks up the story of young Rey, Fin, and Poe as they help the Resistance continue to thwart the Nazi-esque plans of The First Order as Republic continues to doubt the existence of giant spherical super weapons. So long as Star Wars 8 avoids an intro on a snow planet with large walkers, then the second installment of the third Star Wars trilogy should be something special. And Luke Skywalker will speak!

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine. SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE

A spinoff of 2014’s The LEGO Movie that focuses on Batman (Arnett). In order to stop the Joker (Galifianakis) from taking over Gotham City, the Caped Crusader may have to learn how to give up the lone vigilante act and recruit the help of allies Robin (Cera) and Batgirl (Dawson). This is a mighty clash of brands wrapped in the comedic style of Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

ALIEN: COVENANT

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES
