A New Smart Number Plate for Controlling Vehicles Theft

It is a great news for the citizens of Pakistan that a Smart Number Plate has been introduced for controlling the Vehicles Theft in the country. The Federal Government of Pakistan take many big decisions against Vehicles Theft in the country. The vehicles that are used in terrorism and other crimes can be identify through this smart number plate. It would be the first security maintaining smart number plate introduced in Islamabad for the public of Pakistan. The purpose of this smart number plate System is to reduce the criminal activities involving vehicles by the Excise and Taxation Department.

Details about Smart Number Plate against Vehicles Theft

Aftab Akbar Durani the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad said that it is a new Smart Number Plate that would be linked to Safe City Cameras. The smart number plates being processed by computers and would be connected with the cameras as a part of the Safe Cities Project. Safe City project has enabled to trace down criminal cases as well as by giving timely information to police department. There will be an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system into the plates that will make these plates readable as well as track able by the linked cameras.

He said that if the vehicle has been steal or crashed in an accident then it can be traced by Safe City Cameras. There are many non-custom, tempered and smuggled vehicles in Islamabad all these vehicles will not be used and also be kept in record through smart number plate System. This smart number plate will not only be reflective but also consists of many special security features. If this plate has any fault during five years then the Pakistani citizens can get a New smart number plate free of cost.

Muhammad Bilal Azam the Director Excise Islamabad said that the Online Token System has also been introduced and there is also a Fool Proof Security System against the transfer of Non Registered Vehicles in the country. He also said that we signed an agreement against Online Token System to NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) and also starting the Bio Matric Attestation System for vehicles transfer.

Today, an unusual case happens in the Lahore session court. A man named Haji Saqib reached the courts and want to file a case against his son. Man Filed Case against Son who used to talk with girls on the mobile phone. His son is gossiping with girls for many months. He always disobeys his order and continues to talk with girls. He wants to place an FIR against his son because he disobeyed his orders. He doesn’t focus on his studies hence he is ruining his future.

Statements of Father:

He said; My son named Irfan talks to girls on the mobile phone in the night. Even in this holy month of Ramzan, he continues to gossip with girls. The father often advised him to not to do that but all in vain. I asked my son to avoid such bad habit and cut off him from social media activities. he always advises his son to focus on his studies.

Recently, my son was talking to a girl on phone at midnight. I asked my son to hand over his phone to me. But his son refused to give his mobile o his father. After that, my doubts stronger towards his bad habits. That’s why I decided to take him to the court. My son always disobeys my orders and do whatever he wants.

This man first goes to the Sharda Police station for filing an FIR against his son. But the police refused to write any FIR and sent him back to the home. Later on, he decided to knock the doors of courts for this silent violence. He filed a case in session court of Lahore today. He requested the court to allow the SHO of the police station to file an FIR against his son. After this, the court orders the SHO to collect the comments against this. The man requested to push his son behind the bars during the whole month of Ramzan. So that, he can never make such rubbish mistakes in future. He also requested the court to file an FIR against his son for not obeying his orders.

Shaheen Airlines Operations Stopped Due to Unpaid Federal Excise Duty

FBR Stopped Shaheen Airlines Local Operations for not Paying Federal Excise Duty

The local operations of Shaheen Airlines have been stopped now. The reason is that they have no pay the Federal Excise duty of million rupees. The Federal Board of Revenue suspended the operations last night.

Last night Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sent a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The letter contains all the details about amount payable on the name of Federal Excise Duty. The payable amount by Shaheen Airlines is approximately 521.397 million PKR. The Excise duty tax of the month March is unpaid by the airlines whose deadline was 15^th March 3018. However, the Airline is unable to pay the required amount of the deadlines. Therefore, a notification was sent the Shaheen International Airlines for paying the tax but they don’t do so.

Statements in Letter:

As they don’t recover the Federal Excise Duty on the given deadline, a letter was sent to Shaheen Airline. The letter contains the following statement;

“In the duty excise of power confessed under rule 60, sub-rule (c) as Federal Excise Duty Rules. You are required to stop the local flight operations of Shaheen International Airlines. The operations will remain stopped will the recoverability of the mentioned amount. However, In the duty excise of power confessed under rule 60, sub-rule (c) as Federal Excise Duty Rules. You are required to stop the local flight operations of Shaheen International Airlines. The operations will remain stopped will the recoverability of the mentioned amount. However, they forward all the information regarding this through this office.

Moreover, they also directed a renowned bank to attach all the payable amounts of different accounts. Until the Shaheen doesn’t pay the government dues, attach all the bank rupee account attach to it. Remember, FBR takes this action under the law of FBR taxation policy. The law is based on the FBR Federal Excise Duty rule 2005 with Federal Excise Act 20055.

Statement of Shaheen Airlines Spokesperson:

The spoke person of the Shaheen International Airlines said that this delay is the usual and normal delay. There is no solid conflict between them and FBR. Furthermore, this decision doesn’t halt our regular operations. Shaheen pays millions of dollars per month in the name of taxes. We follow laws as we have law following identity. We are well aware of our duties and responsibility in this regards. However, Shaheen is clearing a huge amount of money on priories.

May be this act was created for getting more popularity or maximum rating by Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain as he hurts the religion feelings of many different sects and other people at large level.

All Channels are Allowed to Air Ramzan Game Shows

The senior bench of Islamabad High Court lifted the ban from the Ramzan Game Shows. The decision of playing Azan five times a day and is also banned. Moreover, the airing of aids in iftar time is also allowed now. The senior bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) sent the notification of 26 Pages to the channels. The division bench rejected the decision of single bench.

The Case Background:

A ban was imposed on all Ramzan Game shows by honorable Judge, Justice Shaukat Aziz Saddique. He bans all the game shows, morning shows and Ramzan Transmission in Ramzan. He also ordered to air the azan on every channel five times a day. Moreover, he also asks to not play ads during the Iftar time. Instead, every channel will show the Islamic quotes and history during this time. But the channels constantly showing all the game shows, morning shows, and ads. The honorable justice issues a notice against such channels and asks them to stop this.

Ramzan Game Shows Decision:

The channel management file a case for showing the game shows. In today’s hearing, the senior bench of judges including Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani announce the decision. They reject the notice issued by the justice, Shaukat Aziz. The judges decided that the PEMRA have the regulatory authority of playing shows on TV. Courts don’t have any authority and they can’t do anything about this. It’s the responsibility of the PEMRA to take action against the airing of TV shows.

Main Points of the Decisions:

The decision announced by the senior bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) contains the following main points.

Firstly, all game shows, morning shows, and Ramzan transmissions can be aired now.
Secondly, there is no restriction of airing the Azan five times a day.
Thirdly, there is no ban on showing the ads in Sehri and iftar time.
Moreover, no restriction of playing the Islamic quotes, versus and dua during the iftar time.
Furthermore, PEMRA has the regulatory authority from now. It’s the responsibility of them to act upon the bill according to their own.
Lastly, the airing of Indian content on the Pakistani channel is also illegal.
