Firstly, this film was make mark at the DC South Asian Film Festival in the United States. Secondly, it was screened at the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival in Canada. Here it won the Grand Jury Prize as well as received honors for Best Supporting Actor. Story of Baaji Film
The film Baaji has the story of a senior former Lollywood actor, Shameera (played by Meera) who is being cut from movies due to her age but refuses to give up her career as a film star. Meera finds a companion Neha (Amna Ilyas). She is a simple beautician becomes her manager, excelling at her job because Shameera is seen returning to the spotlight.
Moreover, she is afraid of losing her place so, she projects her insecurities on younger and prettier Neha.
