However, things are different today as Pakistan Super League and Pakistan Cricket Board has released the anthem for the Pakistan Super League Season 7. Officially sponsored by TikTok, the anthem of the HBL PSL 7 is already loved by the masses.

The PSL 7 Anthem is named Agay Dekh and is sung by the two latest singing sensations of the country. Led by Atif Aslam, the musical maestro who won the hearts of the audience with his soulful voice, and Aima Baig, the new talent who is as talented as she is pretty.

The anthem is much-awaited as the tournament is ready to begin on 27th January, which is just three days away. While the song is sung by Atif Aslam and Aima Baig, it is produced by Abdullah Siddiqui, the musical prodigy who is making Pakistan proud with his talents every day.

PCB shared the official video of the anthem for the PSL 7 edition with the caption, “The wait is over. Presenting to you the official #PSL7 anthem.”

PCB said about the anthem, “Pakistani cricket has given us many moments to cherish, and this year’s PSL anthem carries forward the nationwide spirit and culture surrounding it” and also added that the audience will enjoy the game rather than focus on victory or loss.

“Pakistan’s biggest sporting event is a festival and a celebration, and the anthem pays tribute to everyone who waits excitedly for this time of year. With “Agay dekh” we have strived to showcase how much we love cricket, as well as capture the attitude, the fierceness and the banter that houses that love,” said PCB.

PSL anthems have a history of being loved by the fans. Past anthems were sung by Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, Arif Lohar, Naseebo Lal and more. This time, PCB is hoping to encite the feeling of excitement of PSL fans living in Pakistan and all over the world.

In the WhatsApp new update, users will now be able to send high-quality pictures. This was a huge issue before. The quality of pictures decreases exponentially when they were shared over WhatsApp. The pictures were compressed and the quality of the picture was compromised.

Voice status updates are visible to your contacts for 24 hours, after which they disappear automatically. You can also choose to save the voice status to your device’s camera roll before sending. This feature will be available on both the WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business apps.

It will be a useful way to share quick updates or messages with your contacts without having to type out a long message. It is expected to appear in our application very soon.

Message Yourself on WhatsApp

Another quality WhatsApp new update is the ability to message yourself on WhatsApp. tap on the “New Chat” button in the top right corner. Then, type in your own phone number in the “To” field and compose your message. Once you have written your message, tap on the “Send” button.

You will receive the message in a new chat window, and you can reply to it just like any other conversation. It’s worth noting that you will need to have the phone number that you are messaging yourself with, added to your phone’s contacts list in order to be able to message yourself. Shoaib Akhtar Removes Himself From Biopic Rawalpindi Express

In a shocking turn of events, Shoaib Akhtar has distanced himself from his biopic. The project, Rawalpindi Express, has been in the works for a good few months now. The project was first announced by the man himself in July of 2023 and he was very excited about it as well.

Based on the life of a Pakistani fast bowler who was dubbed Rawalpindi Express for his fast pace bowler that terrorized batsmen from all over the world, the movie was set to chronicle his life and the downs and ups he faced in the race to become the best bowler in the world.

Rawalpindi Express Woes

The project has been a victim of controversies and back luck since the beginning. However, things got worse when singer-turned-actor Umair Jaswal distanced himself from the project as well. He was set to play the titular role of Shoaib Akhtar in the movie, however, he removed himself from the biopic just this month.

In a post shared on his Twitter, Umair Jaswal wrote:

“Due to creative and personal reasons, I have decided to step away from the Shoaib Akhtar biopic project RAWALPINDI EXPRESS. I will no longer be associated with any media or news related to this project. Wishing everyone involved all the best.”

Now it looks like the issue was not technical but creative differences as Shoaib Akhtar has removed himself from the project as well. He shared the news on his Instagram account and his Twitter account where he shocked the fans.

In his post, he said, “Very sadly, I would like to inform all of you that after careful consideration of months, I have decided to disassociate myself from the film ‘Rawalpindi Express’ and its makers by terminating the agreement through my management and legal team.”

He also warned the management and the team behind the movie. “Severe legal action will be taken if the makers continue to make biography film[s] and use my name or life story events in any way,” he mentioned.

Shoaib Akhtar was excited about the project and he even shared the poster for the movie on his official social media accounts, but those posts are deleted as well. The movie Rawalpindi Express was being directed by Faraz Qaiser and was produced by Q Film Production.

Had it been made; this would have been the first international movie to be made on the life of a legendary Pakistani cricketer. The movie would have been released in November 2023, but the chances of it are all but gone.
