PTA launched DIRBS System Stolen, Fake, and Smuggled Smart Phone

PTA launches the new system named DIRBS system for blocking of stolen and smuggled Smart Phones. The DIRBS is a process meaning Device Identification, Registration, Blocking System. All the smuggled, stolen smartphone is illegal and will be blocked permanently.

Smartphones become popular now a day. Hence, the usage and selling of Illegal smuggled and stolen a mobile phone is increasing day by day. Through these illegal smartphones, the number of illegal incident and terrorism is happening on daily basis. By statistics, iPhones and iPad are smuggled a lot. Many people become the victim of terrorist activity due to these fake and illegal smartphones. There is a need for a system to avoid this.

Hence, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced a system DRIBS to block the fake, stolen and smuggled mobile phone. This system’s initiate is the identification, registration, and blocking of the smartphones. It is stated that many people in Pakistan are using the mobile phone with invalid IMEI numbers. Such users will no longer be able to use the fake IMEI smartphones.

How DRIBS System work:

First of all, this system will identify the legality of the mobile with the IMEI number.
The IMEI number is unique to every device and even to regions.
Secondly, they will find fake device with the collaboration of Mobile identifiers by using IMEI number.
Then, they will block the smartphone permanently without any notification.
Lastly, remember that the mobile can’t be used and will not be able to communicate with any other.
They will block all stolen and smuggled phones that are being used and sold by others.

How you can identify the status of your mobile:

PTA will introduce soon the Device Verification System (DVS).
Through this system, the user can identify the status of the mobile phone whether it is stolen or not.
If you accidentally buy a new mobile that is smuggled and stolen, then it will be blocked.
You can also check the IMEI number by just dialing *#06#.
The number is also available in the setting and info section.
On the back side of the smartphone, the number is also printed.
Both numbers should be the same to avoid any fraudulent activity.

Important Notice:

The smartphones that people are already using will not be blocked. The phones that will be smuggled after the notification (will announce soon) will be blocked.

LHC Lifted Ban from Government Jobs and Transfer in Today’s Hearing

Lahore High Court lifted Ban from government Jobs and Transfers. In today’s hearing, the LHC announced the decision in the favor of provisional and government authorities who submit the petition against this.

Last month Election Commission of Pakistan, imposes a ban on all government jobs and transfers. The ban was imposing on 11^th May 2018. They do so to make the upcoming elections crystal clear. However, provincial and government institutes submit a petition against this decision last week. The federal and provincial authorities filed a writ in Lahore High Court last week. Today, they announced the decision of this hearing.

The chief justice of Pakistan, Saqib Nisar Sahib take sou moto notice on bans. The Supreme Court noticed the Lahore High Court to announce the result this week. So, in today’s hearing, they finally announce the result. They said as these jobs are advertised when there is a necessity of the person who can handle the government duties and delay in such recruitment can cause a damage to the country’s progress. So, LHC Lifted Ban from government Jobs and Transfers.

CJP investigate that, it’s the duty of Election commission Pakistan to make the elections clear. However, he announced that if any provincial or other institutes want to file a writ against this, then they are allowed to do so. The election commission of Pakistan first imposes a ban on government jobs that announced after 1^st April 2018. Later, they also banned all kind of transfers and the jobs which were in progress. As they said; we have to do this because we need funding for the election which was intended to invest in the transfers and recruitment.

In this regards, many provincial authorities file a writ and today the decision makes them happy. The Lahore High Court lifted the ban from government jobs and transfers. There is no association between government jobs and government. Further, the people applied for the post are waiting for this recruitment and this can affect their life and future. Famous Actor, Composer, and Singer Adnan Sami Accused Kuwait of Calling Him Indian Dog

The Indian singer, Adnan Sami accused Kuwait of calling him Indian Dog. He visited Kuwait due to live performance. He also showed his angriness to Indian Embassy for not supporting and taking action against this. Then Indian Embassy assured him that they are investigating this and will take action against this.

Adnan Sami is a famous singer, musician, Pianist, actor and music composer. He was a citizen of Pakistan and then start living in India in 2001. After that, he quitted the citizenship of Pakistan permanently and in 2015 he becomes the permanent resident of India. He is really a controversial man between India and Pakistan. A few days ago, Adnan Sami visited Kuwait for a live performance and Adnan Sami accused Kuwait. According to him, he alongside reached at the Kuwait airport the Kuwait citizens talk them arrogantly. Then, Kuwait airport immigration misbehaves and insulted his team and called them “Indian Dogs”. Immediately he rushed to his twitter account and posted angry words on it.

Adnan Sami accused Kuwait when he was in the airport; “We came to your city with love. Our Indian associates embarrassed us with this. But you people don’t give us support. The Kuwait airport immigration mistreated and misbehave with my staff and called us “Indian Dogs”. When they were contacting us, they show nothing. How dare the Kuwaiti people can misbehave with us like this.”

But Indian embassy doesn’t even help him in this crises. After being disheartened, he tagged external affair manager, Sushma Swaraj, and Union Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh. He was very angry with the Indian Embassy for not supporting him and taking an action against Kuwait. He accused the Indian embassy of their silence and such immature behavior.

Later the External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj replied on his tweet as “Please Speak to me on Phone”. After that, the Minister of Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju replied in the tweet of Adnan Sami as “They will definitely help him because the most dynamic Sushma Swaraj is investigating the matter”. Adnan retweeted by Thanking both personalities for supporting him.

Today, Islamabad High Court ordered to Ban Game Shows During Ramzan. They also advised the channels to air Azan 5 times a day. The ban is applied on all Morning and game shows.

In the holy month of the Ramzan, Muslims worships Allah to seek forgiveness, peace, and prayers. all the channels consider it an obligation to launch the game show after Iftar. The purpose of the game show is pure entertainment but what if it starts diverting people from religious obligation. Due to these games, people do everything just for the sake of a motorbike, cars, refrigerators and few other gifts. The Morning shows are caused the women to remain away from their daily activities just to join a transmission. The blessing of Sehr and Iftar are ruined by the Game shows, Ramzan transmission, and morning shows. Especially the morning shows are really criticized by the male majority.

In the haring of 8^th May 2018, Islamabad High Court announced a decision to Ban Game Shows During Ramzan. The judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddique order to ban all Transmissions, game and morning shows. As these shows are distracting to participate in such shows rather than offering a prayer.

The Airing of Azan:

He is also sent a notice to TV channels for airing Azan a day on all the channel. The azan will be aired five times a day. In this way, whenever they will watch the TV, their belief will get more strong due to the sweet and beautiful sound of Azan.

The great Judge Shaukat Aziz Saddique Said “They will not allow anyone to make fun of the religion and its obligations”. Further, he said that “its State’s responsibility to protect the Islamic identity and Ideology”. He also said “Nothing is more breaking for a Muslims except the Azan”

The Media Regulatory bodies, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) director general, and PBA lawyers were present in this hearing. The DG said that they will soon be issuing the orders to TV channels for the ban of such transmission during Ramzan.

However, it is going to be a good intuitive. Although many channels have already announced to launch their transmission for Ramzan. But this decision will be going to implement which will protect our religious ideology.

Chief Justice Pakistan ask for Written Response on High Mobile Taxes – Today’s Hearing

A hearing about High Mobile Taxes held on Tuesday Morning dated 8^th May 2018. The Chief Justice of Pakistan asked for the written response from Federal government and a federal board of high Mobile Taxes within one week. The court also asked to answer the mobile companies for service charges.

Last week, chief justice of Pakistan took Suo Motu Notice regarding the imposition of High Mobile Taxes from the cellular companies of Pakistan. The notice includes the question that why the companies charge 40% on the mobile load on 100 Rupees. The great CJP Saqib Nisar took the notice and asked the responsible persons to submit them on Tuesday.

Today’s Hearing about High Mobile Taxes:

In today’s hearing, the chief justice of Pakistan, Chaudhary Saqib Nisar in the collaboration of two other judges listen to the stance of responsible parties. The Atarni General describe that the 40% charges are divided into the following taxes ranges;

Sales tax: 19.5 Rupees

Holding Duty: 12.7 Rupees

Service Charges: 10 Rupees

The decision about Holding Charges:

The CJP asked; why the holding charges are taken by the people? Furthermore, he said that, when a person is not required to pay a holding tax, then why he is paying that? The CJP accused the finance minister about why he is taking holding charges from 14 crore consumers.

The Atari general said they don’t take holding charges from government and diplomats. In response, the CJP asked to submit the report of holding charges within a week. Remember, the holding charges are taken by the government and diplomats, not from consumers.

The decision about Service Charges:

Chief Justice asked; why the service charges are charged that much? The Atarni General said the mobile phone companies can answer this question. The court asked the mobile companies to submit the report while the comparison of services charges with other country service charges. So the companies like Zong, Telenor, Jazz, Ufone will have to answer this next week.

The decision about Sales Tax:

Chief justice asked; Why you are receiving sales taxes from consumers? CJP said “ is it legal to charges sales tax that much? Then the FBR said, “the federal government is receiving the sales charges”. The CJP asked the federal governments to submit the report in next week.

Next Hearing:

The court decided to take the final decision after two weeks. But the responsible authorities such as federal government, mobile network companies and have to submit the reports within a week. The court also asked to submit the report of a comparison of mobile taxes against the taxes of other companies. Lest see what happened next but we should appreciate the effort of Legend Chief Justice of Pakistan. The Pakistani nation is hopeful that court will announce the good news soon.
