The ODI squad for Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI Series has been announced. Interim Chief Selector Shahid Afridi has given a list of a 16-member squad for the three-match series, which includes three new players who will make their debut in this historic series.

Shaheen Afridi is still working on his rehabilitation and will be absent from the team. Shahdab Khan, who is the vice-captain of the team, injured his finger while playing for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League and has been removed from the squad for that reason.

HBL PSL 8 is just around the corner and it looks like some big changes are coming. For the first time ever, Multan will hold the opening ceremony and the first match of Pakistan Super League 8. This is the first time for the South Punjab city and they finally have their time after 7 years!

Big news for the cricket lovers of Multan, the opening ceremony will now be held on 13th February. Previously, the new season was expected to be held on 9th February. The first match will be held between Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, and Multan Sultans.

HBL PSL 8 New Schedule

The tournament is now expected to be played between February 13th till March 19th. As per the announcement, the PSL 8 will be played in the following venues:

  • Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • National Stadium, Karachi
  • Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
  • Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan

Previously, the Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar was also supposed to be part of the venue but, considering the current condition of the floods as well as the overall condition of the stadium, holding matches there would be impossible.

A total of 34 matches will be played in the 8th season of PSL. Out of them, 9 matches will be played in Lahore, 9 matches will be played in Karachi, 10 matches will be played in Rawalpindi and 6 matches will be played in Multan.

Each option will offer 288 kilometers of drive range and 385 kilometers of drive range on a full charge, respectively.

Kia Stinger

One of the best from the brand, Kian Stinger has always been among the best seller of Kia all over the world. Kia Motors Pakistan has been teasing this luxury sedan for a long time and it looks like it will be on display along with Niro EV. With its main competition being the Mercedes AMG C Class, BMW 3 Series, and more, this powerhouse would be a great addition to the Pakistani market.

According to the rumors, the new Stinger will come with two powertrains. These are:

  • A 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged engine that will generate 251 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque.
  • A 3.3 liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine that will generate 368 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque.

Both powertrains will come with a four-wheel drive option or rear-wheel drive. It will have an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Will Kia Stinger and Niro EV come to Pakistan?

As of yet, Kia Motors Pakistan has not announced if both of these vehicles will come to Pakistan or not. Right now, it appears to be that these vehicles be on display around Pakistan. The first stop is Karachi where it will be on display first, starting from 5th January. Will these vehicles become a part of the Pakistani market? Only time will tell.
